The basic loop

Step
In short Every run in Greedy Growers follows the same four steps.

Head to the river, spend your starting money on a seed, then plant it in your plot and watch it grow. When the tree is big enough — and before lightning gets a chance — harvest it and use what you earn to start again.

  1. Head to the river spend your starting funds on a seed.
  2. Plant it in your plot place the seed and let time do the work.
  3. Watch the tree grow trees get bigger over real time.
  4. Harvest before lightning strikes turn the grown tree into money and restart the cycle.

Lightning and when to harvest

Warn
In short Lightning hits without warning, so harvesting a little early is almost always better than losing the tree entirely.

Lightning is the central danger in Greedy Growers. It strikes randomly, and any tree it hits is gone. Spreading that risk across several trees at once means one bad strike does not set you back to zero.

Worth watching out for
Plant more than one tree so a single lightning strike cannot wipe out your entire income.
03

Idle play

Tips
In short The game is built around idle play and runs on PC, mobile, tablet, and console.

Trees grow on their own while you are away, so you do not need to sit and watch. The game runs on PC, mobile, tablet, and console.

Tips worth knowing
  • Log in when you feel like it, harvest what has grown, plant new seeds, and close the game.
  • PC, mobile, tablet, and console are all supported.
04

Free-to-play progress

Tips
In short You can sustain a full run of Greedy Growers without spending anything, as long as you reinvest what you harvest.

The game's economy is self-sustaining: harvest a tree, earn money, buy a seed, repeat. Gift codes give you in-game money or items when redeemed and are one-time-use only.

Tips worth knowing
  • Redeem available gift codes when you first start to get early bonus money or items.
  • Every harvest funds the next seed, so the loop never has to stop if you reinvest.
  • Codes can expire, so redeem any new ones as soon as you spot them.

06

When progress feels stuck

Check
In short Most slowdowns come down to either waiting for growth or forgetting to reinvest after a harvest.

Trees grow over real time, so a very young tree just needs more time. A fully grown tree sitting unharvested is money you have not collected yet.

  • Are your planted trees actually getting bigger? If they are still tiny, they just need more time.
  • Do you have any fully grown trees ready to harvest? Collect them before lightning does.
  • Is your money enough to buy another seed? If yes, head to the river and plant again.
  • Have you entered your gift codes?

Common questions

FAQ

Can I protect my trees from lightning?

There is no way to block lightning entirely. Harvesting trees as soon as they are large enough is the best defence. Growing several trees at the same time also spreads the risk, so one strike does not cost you everything.

Do I need to log in every day?

No daily login is required. The idle design means trees keep growing while you are away, so you can check in whenever it suits you.

Where do I find gift codes?

Developers release codes through official announcements, and new codes often accompany updates. Redeem any code as soon as you find it, because older codes can expire and each code only works once.
