Getting started in the Simpsons house

Step
In short Your first moves should be getting familiar with the house and completing what Homer asks of you.

When you load in, you are inside the Simpsons house. The very first thing the game wants you to do is get your bearings — look around each room and notice what is there. Homer will give you tasks, and doing them properly is how you avoid the early bad endings in Chapter 1.

  1. Look around explore each room of the house and check what you can interact with
  2. Cut the lawn Homer wants every patch of grass mowed, so do not leave any behind
  3. Handle the food carefully the burger you give Homer matters; giving him the wrong one triggers the INFECTED ending
  4. Keep the house clean Homer reacts badly to mess, which leads to the TOO LATE ending if ignored
  5. Do not try to leave attempting to exit early causes the YOU CAN'T LEAVE ending
  6. Watch the group if you are playing with friends, the CAPTURED ending shows that not everyone escapes together

Chapter 1 endings and how to avoid the bad ones

Warn
In short Most of Chapter 1's endings are traps for players who rush or ignore what Homer wants.

There are four ways to fail Chapter 1 and only one way to succeed. Each bad ending is caused by a specific mistake, so knowing what triggers them helps you steer clear. The good ending, called Saved?, requires you to survive the entire night and see the chapter through to the very end.

Worth watching out for
TOO LATE is triggered by leaving the house dirty keep things clean as Homer expects
INFECTED happens when you give Homer a burger that has something wrong with it pay attention to which one you serve
CAPTURED occurs when the group does not all make it out
YOU CAN'T LEAVE is triggered by trying to exit the house when Homer has already seen you attempting to leave
Saved? is the only good Chapter 1 ending reach it by surviving the full night and seeing it through to the very end
05

Chapter 2 and the true ending

Step
In short Chapter 2 ends at the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, and how you handle the story there decides which ending you reach.

After Chapter 1, the story continues into Chapter 2, which takes you beyond the house and toward where Homer works. There are two endings here: an alternative bad ending called ARRESTED, and the true ending called To the PowerPlant. The ARRESTED ending is triggered by honesty going wrong at the wrong moment.

  1. Follow the trail the chapter leads you toward the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant
  2. Be careful what you say the ARRESTED ending is triggered by being too honest at the wrong time
  3. Reach the Power Plant completing the chapter's full path earns the To the PowerPlant ending, which is the chapter's true conclusion
