01

In short The game moves you forward one chapter at a time.

  1. Start Chapter 1 finishing it earns the first story badge.
  2. Move to Chapter 2 there is a secret hidden somewhere in the room.
  3. Tackle Chapter 3 this chapter has two possible endings, good and bad.
  4. Push through Chapters 4 and 5 completing these earns the Water Stone and Air Stone badges respectively.
  5. Finish Chapter 6 clearing this final chapter earns you the Fire Stone badge.

Solo versus co-op — which mode you need

Table
In short Some badges are locked to co-op and others are blocked by too many players, so pick your mode based on what you are going for.

Certain badges can only be earned in one specific mode, so it is worth deciding before you start a chapter.

Pro Sliderblocked in three- or four-player mode
Chapter 1 Hardmodemultiplayer only; not available in solo
Pro Level 1 (Chapter 4)co-op only; finishing solo does not count
Pro Level 2 (Chapter 5)co-op only; finishing solo does not count
Pro 6 (Chapter 6)co-op only; finishing solo does not count
03

Chapter-by-chapter secrets and special conditions

Tips
In short Every chapter past the first has at least one hidden condition or secret on top of simply finishing it.

Rushing straight to the exit means missing badges that require specific actions during a run.

Tips worth knowing
  • In Chapter 1, solve the slider puzzle in under 40 seconds to earn Pro Slider.
  • Chapter 2 has a hidden secret somewhere in the room.
  • Chapter 3 branches into a good ending or a bad ending, so play it twice if you want both badges.
  • While in Chapter 3, hunt for every noob token hidden across the map — finding them all earns a dedicated badge.
  • In Chapter 4 (co-op), keep the wall up for the entire run to earn Pro Level 1.
  • In Chapter 5 (co-op), avoid breaking any doors to earn Pro Level 2.
04

Chapter 6 Pro conditions

Warn
In short Chapter 6 has strict Pro requirements that must all be met at once.

Pro 6 demands that your whole co-op group meet three conditions at once. Failing any one of them means the badge will not unlock.

Worth watching out for
Do not buy any skips during the run.
Do not buy any hints during the run.
Do not break the door at any point.
05

Seasonal events and bonus rooms

Check
In short Event rooms come with their own badges, including a hidden secret badge separate from simply finishing the room.

Trapped has featured limited-time event rooms alongside the main chapters. The Halloween room is currently available, and a Christmas event has also been held in the past.

  • Clear the Halloween room to earn the Halloween 2024 Complete badge.
  • Search the Halloween room carefully for a hidden secret finding it earns a second badge.
  • The Christmas event had its own completion badge.
06

Community, developers, and the Noob Genius rank

The game is tied to the Noob Cult group, and there are a few steps worth taking outside of the puzzle rooms themselves.

  • Noob Genius rank join the Noob Cult group, finish all chapters, then ask to be ranked up
