Everything in this game comes back to three actions: cultivate, unlock, reset.
The whole game is built around a repeating cycle. You grow your realms to push your progress forward, and as you advance you unlock new marks that make you stronger. Once your growth slows, you reset — giving up your current progress in exchange for a permanent boost — and then the next run starts faster than the last. The more times you complete this cycle, the more boosts stack up and the quicker each new run becomes.
