Astravell and why it matters for puzzles

Tips
In short Astravell phrases act as literal keys in the game, so exact wording is not optional.

Astravell is an ancient language from the Era of Divinity, once spoken by heavenly beings and now nearly forgotten in the present era. It does not work like a full grammar system — instead it exists as a collection of phrases, nouns, and descriptive words woven into everyday speech. Certain phrases and written passages function as keys that only make sense to someone who knows the language.

Tips worth knowing
  • The Divine Sanctuary puzzle requires the letter's lines to be typed exactly as they appear, not paraphrased.
  • You must be holding the Divine Letter and standing within 50 studs of the bookshelf before any line you type counts toward the puzzle.

Subject_0's abilities in Aeonic

Table
In short Aeonic is cancelled and no longer playable, but Subject_0's kit shows how the asymmetric design worked.

Aeonic was a Portals spin-off built around one killer and a group of survivors. It has been cancelled because the developer lost motivation for it. Subject_0, also called The One From Above, was the only killer ever implemented. Each of his four abilities had its own cooldown and range.

Slash (cooldown 2)swings a clock arm forward; heals Subject_0 by 40 HP on a successful hit
Deadline (cooldown 120)freezes all survivors within 200 studs for 10 seconds and deals 5 damage per second, totalling 50 damage
Chromatic Infection (cooldown 25)highlights survivors in purple; if any are within 36 studs when the 8-second clock finishes, they take 10 damage per tick for up to 80 total, and Subject_0 heals by the same amount
Chronicle (cooldown 30)opens a portal that travels forward, dealing 40 damage to anyone it hits in the centre, 20 at the sides, and yanking them 100 studs toward Subject_0
05

The crew — who you will meet

Summary
In short Each crew member has a distinct personality and role that drives both the story and the Specials.

The crew operates out of Teranix.

  • Junni the shortest and most energetic member; sews crochet plushies and runs a concession in Hall C
  • Lunia dramatic and expressive, deeply concerned with what others think of her; Junni's older sister
  • Seth in a relationship with Lunia; has a negative standing with Jared
  • Viva wrote the crew's St. Patrick's letter when Jared was busy
06

Upcoming Specials and what they cover

Check
In short Each Special is a short animation that fills in character moments the main episodes skip past.

Portals Specials are mini-animations running between one and five minutes. They focus on specific character interactions or show events from a different point of view. Four have been named so far, tied to their expected episode slots.

  • Stargazing Jared and Sage watch artificial stars in the garden together; planned for around Episode 4
  • Confession Jared privately tells Bezel his deepest truths and regrets; planned for around Episode 5
  • Obsession after the crew leaves his cabin, Lennox writes letters, makes plushies, and dreams; planned for around Episode 7
  • Observing Seth's point of view of events in Teranix; no release window set yet to avoid spoilers

Common questions

FAQ

How do I open the upstairs door in the Christmas event?

You need the upstairs key, which appears near the grandfather clock for only about 40 to 50 seconds after it chimes every five minutes. Miss that window and you have to wait for the next chime. Once you have the key, it opens the upstairs door directly.

What do I actually type to unlock the Divine Sanctuary?

You type each line of the Divine Letter into chat, one line at a time, exactly as it appears on the letter. You must be holding the Divine Letter and standing within 50 studs of the bookshelf the whole time, or your inputs will not register.

Is Aeonic still playable?

No. The developer cancelled Aeonic after losing passion for the project.

What happened during the A Zennizo Christmas premiere when players distracted Lennox?

During the original premiere, Lennox blocked the upstairs door until one player took him for a walk. That gave the rest of the group time to explore upstairs and work on the puzzle. Once Lennox returned he fell asleep, letting everyone continue. The event ended with Lennox repeating 'I am a good person' before disappearing.
