Choosing and customizing your character

Step

In short Your first decision is whether to play as Bloom or design your own original fairy, and you can adjust your look freely after that.

When you first load in, you pick between playing as Bloom or creating an original character student. Either way, you then get access to hundreds of customization options covering outfits and appearance. You are not locked into your choices, so take your time and come back to the wardrobe whenever you want a change.

Pick your starting character choose Bloom for a pre-built fairy or select the original character path to build your own.
Open the customization options dress up your fairy using the hundreds of available outfit and appearance choices.

Earning experience and butterflies

Tips

In short Attending classes is your main source of both experience and butterflies, the in-game currency.

Progressing in this game comes down to two steady activities: going to class and fighting creatures. Classes reward you with experience points and butterflies at the same time. Creature battles out in the field add more experience on top of that.

Tips worth knowing

Attend classes regularly — each class session gives you experience and butterflies together.
Fight field creatures — battles around the campus stack extra experience onto what classes provide.
Redeem codes when they are available — six working codes are currently tracked that hand out free rewards.

Unlocking companions and their powers

In short Every companion and their upgrade forms are unlocked through leveling up, so consistent play is the only requirement.

As your level rises, five companions become available one after another. Each of those characters also has two power forms to unlock — Magic Winx and then Charmix — and you earn each form per character individually, which means leveling multiple characters is part of the full experience.

Stella, Flora, Musa, Tecna, and Aisha	all unlocked by leveling up through the story.
Magic Winx and Charmix	earned separately on each character by raising that character's level.

Exploring the campus with others

Tips

In short The campus is built for both solo play and group roleplay.

The campus is designed around the school roleplay experience, and you can move through it alone or alongside other players. Solo players can still follow the story, level up, and beat bosses without any help. If you do have friends in the session, the shared spaces give you room to roleplay the school life alongside the main story.

Tips worth knowing

Play solo if you prefer — all story content and boss battles are completable on your own.
Bring friends to shared areas — the campus has spaces where multiple players can explore together.
Roleplay the school setting — treating classes and campus life as part of the experience is central to how the game is designed.

The Enchantix badges and what they mean

Summary

In short Each Enchantix badge marks the climax of a story chapter, so earning them is a direct measure of how far through the story you have gotten.

There are three story badges tied to specific chapters. Each one is awarded when the chapter's heroine completes her sacrifice moment — the event that grants her Enchantix. A fourth badge, Fashion Designer, goes to players who contributed makeup, hair, and eye lens colors to help the developers build the game's cosmetic options.

Bloom: A pre-built fairy character you can choose at the start instead of making your own.
OC (Original Character): A fairy student you design from scratch using the game's customization options.
Butterflies: The in-game currency earned by attending classes and fighting creatures, used to buy items.
Magic Winx: A powered-up transformation form that each character unlocks individually by leveling up.
Charmix: A further upgrade form beyond Magic Winx, also unlocked per character through leveling.
Enchantix: The transformation a fairy earns at the climax of her story chapter, marked by one of the game's badges.
