Step
When you first drop into the Clover Kingdom, tracking down Grimoires is central to progression. Each one you discover unlocks spells and combos you can use in combat.
- Find a Grimoire explore the Clover Kingdom until you discover one, then learn it to unlock your first spells.
- Unlock spells and combos each Grimoire you master adds new individual spells and combo attacks to your toolkit.
- Advance your skill tree as you play and gain experience, put points into the skill tree to reach stronger magic.
- Try crafting collect items through fishing and mining, then combine them to make gear.
Moving around and picking your fights
TipsThe Clover Kingdom is open to explore on foot or by broom. As you venture further you will encounter tougher enemies alongside bosses and raids.

Fishing, mining, and crafting for rare loot
CheckCombat is not the only way to get stronger in Cloverfall. Fishing and mining both produce items, and the crafting system lets you turn those raw materials into something useful.
- Fish regularly fishing is one of the two ways to hunt for rare materials outside of combat.
