First steps when you load in
StepBefore you touch anything else, open your inventory and take note of the weapon, armor, and abilities you already have. Once you know what you are working with, head to the Play screen and pick Desert Temple at the lowest difficulty. If you want to practice on your own, create a private lobby; if you want to run it with strangers, go public. Your goal for this first run is not great loot — it is learning how enemies group up, how abilities feel, and how the reward screen works.
- Open your inventory check which weapon, armor, and abilities you are wearing before anything else.
- Go to the Play screen this is where you choose your dungeon and difficulty.
- Select Desert Temple it is the standard starting point for new players.
- Pick the lowest difficulty focus on learning the flow, not on winning quickly.
- Create a lobby choose public to run with others or private if you want to practice solo.
- Compare rewards after the run see whether any dropped gear is better than what you have equipped.

Physical build vs. magic build
TableEvery piece of gear and every ability leans toward either Physical Power or Magic Power. A physical build focuses on weapon-based attacks at close range; a magic build leans on abilities that hit areas from a distance, which is a little easier to manage when you are just starting out. The most important rule is not to split your skill points between both — a half-and-half investment weakens both sides. If you pick up strong physical gear first, go physical; if magic gear drops first, go magic. When you decide to switch types, wait until you have a full set of gear in the new direction before reassigning your points.
| Physical build | centers on high Physical Power weapons and physical-type abilities. |
| Magic build | centers on high Magic Power weapons and magic-type abilities; slightly easier for beginners. |
| Skill points | put them all in one direction; splitting them halves your damage output. |
| Switching types | only do it once you have a complete set of gear for the new build. |
Climbing difficulty at the right pace
CheckBeing able to enter a dungeon at a given difficulty is not the same as being ready to clear it comfortably. Run the same difficulty two or three times in a row and make sure both the regular enemies and the boss feel manageable before you step up. When Desert Temple starts to feel easy, that is your signal to move on to the next dungeon. Keep in mind that the difficulty selector in-game is always the most accurate source for what is currently required, since requirements can change with updates.
- Clear the current difficulty two or three times back to back before moving up.
- Both regular enemies and the boss should feel manageable, not just survivable.
- Swap in any dropped gear that beats what you have equipped after each run.
- Move to the next dungeon only when Desert Temple stops being a challenge.
Boss fight basics
TipsThe first time you face a new boss, spend the opening seconds watching rather than attacking. Bosses telegraph their attacks through floor color changes and movement patterns — once you recognize those tells, you can dodge first and counterattack right after the move finishes. Keep to the center of the room so you always have room to move; getting pinned against a wall removes most of your escape options.
- Watch the floor and the boss's movement before committing to an attack.
- Dodge the telegraphed attack first, then hit back immediately after it ends.
- Stay near the center of the room to keep your escape routes open.
- If you are getting one-shot, drop the difficulty and review your armor and positioning.
- If time runs out before the boss dies, check your weapon, skill point direction, and how accurately your abilities are landing.
What to check when you are stuck
CheckWhen a dungeon stops going your way, the cause is rarely just your level. Mismatched gear and skill points, a difficulty spike that came too soon, or ignoring boss telegraphs are more common culprits. Drop back one difficulty tier, string together two or three clean clears, and then try again.
- Check that your skill points are not split between physical and magic.
- Confirm that your abilities match your weapon type a magic ability on a physical weapon does reduced damage.
- Make sure the difficulty you are on is not too far ahead of where you can comfortably clear.
- Review whether you have been spending gold upgrading gear you will replace soon.
- Check if Hardcore mode is switched on accidentally it raises the stakes significantly.
Redeem codes
WarnDungeon Quest Reborn supports gift codes that you enter through a dedicated screen in the game's menu. Each code typically works only once on a single account and carries an expiration date, so an old code you find on an unofficial site may already be dead. Current working codes are shown at the top of this page.
Playing without spending Robux
SummaryDungeon Quest Reborn lets you reach the end of the dungeon progression, fight every boss, and collect gear without buying anything. There are Robux items and game passes available, but none of them lock you out of dungeons. Some purchasable items affect appearance rather than stats, so check the shop description before deciding anything is essential. If you are in middle or high school, talk to a parent before making any purchase.
- Free access all dungeons and bosses are open to players who have not spent Robux.
- Gear source repeated dungeon runs drop the equipment you need to grow stronger.
- Cosmetic items some Robux purchases change how gear looks without affecting its stats.
- Before buying read the shop description to confirm whether an item improves performance or only appearance.
- Parental check younger players should ask a parent before any purchase.

Common questions
FAQWhich dungeon should I start with?
Desert Temple at the lowest difficulty is the right starting point. It teaches you how enemy rooms work, how to use your abilities, and how to read the reward screen after a clear. Get comfortable there before moving anywhere else.
I meet the level requirement but the dungeon is still destroying me. Why?
The level requirement only lets you through the door — it does not mean the content is easy. Your gear direction, ability choices, skill point allocation, and ability to read boss telegraphs all have to line up before a dungeon feels stable. Drop back one difficulty tier, clear it two or three times cleanly, then try again.
I switched gear and now my abilities do less damage. What happened?
Your new weapon probably favors Physical Power while your abilities scale off Magic Power, or the other way around. Open your weapon card, check which stat it boosts, and make sure your abilities and skill points point in the same direction.
Can I get Legendary gear without paying?
Yes — Legendary drops are rare, but they come from defeating bosses, and free players fight bosses the same as anyone else. Keep farming and it will come.
Can I use old Dungeon Quest guides for this game?
Use them with caution. Dungeon Quest Reborn shares names with the original game, but level requirements, stat values, drop tables, and boss behavior can all differ. Always treat what you see in your current game screen as the correct information.
