Core controls
CheckMovement uses either the arrow keys or WASD. Jumping works with the spacebar, and pressing it a second time while you are still in the air gives you the double jump that the whole game is built around. That second jump lets you reach platforms that a single jump would never reach.
- Move left and right with the arrow keys or WASD
- Press spacebar on the ground to jump
- Press spacebar again in the air to trigger the second jump
- Land cleanly on each platform before attempting the next jump
Climbing the tower
TipsThe tower is made up of platforms you have to reach one by one. Use the first jump to get height, then use the second jump to carry yourself onto the next platform. Some platforms are narrow or angled, so aim for the center rather than the edge. Falling sends you back to the bottom, but you can try again immediately.
- Aim for the middle of each platform so an imperfect angle does not tip you off
- After a fall, restart without trying to rush through the same section
When the same spot keeps beating you
WarnIf you keep falling at the same platform, stop and look at it before jumping again. Check whether you are pressing the second jump too early — using it the moment you leave the ground wastes its range. Also check that your movement key is actually aimed at the platform and not slightly off to the side.
Hard mode and hidden secrets
StepThe standard tower has 473 platforms to clear. Past that, the game hides a hard mode and at least two secret areas that require you to find them on your own. The hard mode badge notes that players should avoid using the coil to beat it, which means the intended path asks for clean platforming skill.
- Clear the main tower reach the top after climbing all 473 platforms to finish the standard run
- Find hard mode it can be discovered somewhere in the game; finding it earns a badge before you even attempt it
- Complete hard mode finish the harder climb without relying on the coil if you want the intended clear
- Look for a hidden door one secret area is described as a hidden door that earns its own badge
- Find the hard mode shortcut a second secret exists specifically inside hard mode, separate from the hidden door
Score and how it works
SummaryThe game tracks how far up the tower you get and uses that height as your score. Falling ends your current run and resets your progress, so a single bad jump throws away everything above it. Since everyone plays under the same conditions, the leaderboard reflects pure climbing skill.
- Score the height you reached before falling
- Run end any fall closes the current run at that height
- Leaderboard ranks all players from highest score to lowest
- Cost to compete no purchases required; conditions are equal for everyone
Glossary
Glossary- Double jump
- A second spacebar press made while airborne that extends your reach beyond what a single jump allows.
- Platform
- One of the blocks that make up the tower; landing on each one is how you gain height and build your score.
- Hard mode
- A more difficult version of the tower climb that can be discovered and then attempted separately from the main run.
- Coil
- An item or tool that the hard mode badge implies can be used to skip the intended climb, and which the developers recommend against using for a legitimate clear.
- Respawn
- What happens when you fall — you return to the bottom and your run score is locked at the height you reached.
Common questions
FAQWhere should I use the second jump?
Wait until you are near the top of your first jump before pressing spacebar again. Using it too early wastes range, and using it too late means you are already dropping. With practice the timing starts to feel natural.
Is there more to do after reaching the top?
Yes. The game contains a hard mode and at least two hidden areas beyond the main 473-platform climb. Finding hard mode is one discovery, and there is also a hidden door and a separate shortcut inside hard mode to track down.
Do I need to spend Robux to compete on the leaderboard?
No. The score system is based entirely on how high you climb, and everyone plays under the same conditions. There is nothing to buy that changes the basic climb.
