Recipes are the core way to earn cash. A customer sits down, places an order, and a chef cooks that dish at a stove using ingredients from the fridge. Simple recipes use basic ingredients, but higher-tier recipes pull from crops you've farmed and animals you've raised — and they pay out significantly more. Cooking faster is possible by buying better stoves or levelling up the Cooking skill. Gourmet recipes, the most advanced tier, only unlock once you reach level 50 in the relevant skills.

Skills worth levelling up

Each skill tree improves a different part of your restaurant, so spread your attention as you grow.
There are five skill trees, and each one gives permanent perks the higher you level it. Levelling skills also improves your overall Rank in the game. Reaching the top of any skill tree at level 50 is what unlocks gourmet recipes, so long-term progression depends on pushing these up consistently.
