Getting started in the game

Step
In short Setting up your profile and picking the right server type are the two things that matter most when you first join.

When you load in, the first thing worth doing is filling out your profile — your country, a short bio, and your interests — so other players know who they're talking to. After that, choose between a voice chat server and a text-only server before you start meeting people.

  1. Set up your profile enter your country, language, and a short bio so people can find common ground with you quickly.
  2. Pick your server type choose a voice chat server if you want to speak in real time, or a no-voice server if you'd rather type at your own pace.
  3. Find other players walk up to someone in the lobby and send them a comment to start a conversation.
  4. Invite a friend inviting one friend earns you 100 Coins plus the Friendly title and a tag effect.
  5. Redeem a code redeeming a code found in the community server earns the Coder title and tag effect.

The Reputation system

Tips
In short Reputation is a running score of how the community sees you, and extreme values in either direction unlock exclusive titles.

Reaching 10,000 Reputation unlocks the Famous title and a tag effect. Dropping to -10,000 unlocks the Infamous title and its own tag effect instead.

Tips worth knowing
  • Famous and Infamous are separate goals — you can only be heading toward one at a time.
  • Reputation resets per game version, so switching versions means starting the climb again.
  • Gifting another player earns the Gifter title regardless of your current Reputation score.
03

Arena combat badges

Table
In short Each arena has its own weapon and its own badge, requiring 50 kills to earn.

Six separate arenas each track kills independently — you need 50 kills in any one arena to earn that arena's badge and title. There is no overlap between them, so kills in the Sword Arena do not count toward the Gun Arena badge, for example.

Sword Arena50 kills earns the Swordmaster title and tag effect.
Gun Arena50 kills earns the Gunsmith title and tag effect.
Boxing Arena50 kills earns the Boxer title and tag effect.
Sniper Arena50 kills earns the Sniper title and tag effect.
Bomb Arena50 kills earns the Arsonist title and tag effect.
Greatsword Arena50 kills earns the Warrior title and tag effect.
04

Activity badges outside combat

Check
In short Many badges come from non-combat activities scattered around the game.

A large chunk of the badge list has nothing to do with fighting. Some require patience — drawing 1,000 times in the Draw Area takes a while — while others can be knocked out quickly, like playing the piano once.

  • Country Trivia reach a streak of 50 correct answers to earn the Wayfarer title.
  • Drink Area serve 50 drinks to earn the Drink Master title.
  • Draw Area draw 1,000 times to earn the Artist title.
  • Piano play it once to earn the Pianist title.
  • AI Chatbot talk to it 50 times to earn the Robot title.
  • Lottery roll 777 to earn the Lucky and 777 titles.
05

Custom servers and what they unlock

Summary
In short Creating a custom server is free and gives the host admin tools plus free access to all trolling items and paid features inside that server.

Any player can create a custom server at no cost. Once you're the server owner, you get access to the admin panel, and every troll item and normally paid feature becomes free to use within that server. Note that your profile data and Reputation do not carry over when you move between versions.

  • Custom servers free to create for any player.
  • Admin panel available to the server owner for managing members and settings.
  • Troll items and paid features all free inside a custom server.
  • Gamepasses and badges saved across all versions of the game.
  • Profile data and Reputation stored per version, not shared between them.
06

Staying safe while you socialize

Warn
In short This game connects you with real people from around the world, so basic online safety habits matter here.

Because the whole point of the game is meeting strangers, it is worth being deliberate about what you share. The game also has a separate 18-plus version — make sure you are joining the version that is right for your age.

Worth watching out for
Never share your real name, address, phone number, or email with anyone in the game.
If someone tries to move the conversation to an outside website or app, ignore it.
Block any player who sends you content that makes you uncomfortable.
Do not respond to anyone asking you to share passwords or use cheats.
Use Roblox's built-in report tool if someone is behaving in a seriously harmful way.
