How a round actually works

Summary
In short The game is always running — build, fire, raid, and defend all at the same time.

There is no separate lobby phase. The moment you spawn, you are on an island with six bases, and so are other players. Every action — launching missiles, manning artillery, raiding other bases, managing drills and mines — runs in parallel.

  • Goal become the dominant nuclear power on the island
  • Bases six distinct bases, each letting you operate different weapons
  • Missiles more than ten types you can fire from your base
  • Artillery five or more unique artillery options, including a second-floor gun you can shoot yourself
  • Nukes and hypersonics the heaviest weapons you can unlock
  • Vehicles and aircraft usable for both ground fights and aerial combat

Your tycoon autosaves, so you never need to find a save button.

  1. Spend starter cash put your 5,000 starting cash into the earliest base upgrades as soon as you spawn
  2. Activate drills and mines get your Nuclear Drills and Mines running
  3. Unlock your first missile fire it from your base to earn the launch badge
  4. Climb the mountain walk to the top at least once; it takes no resources and rewards a badge
  5. Find the airdrop when an airdrop spawns on the map, open it before another player does
  6. Take your first rebirth once you have built up enough progress, take your first rebirth to unlock stronger progression
05

Raiding other players

Tips
In short Raiding earns gems but leaves your own base exposed.

Raiding is one of the main ways to earn gems. The risk is that while you are attacking someone else, your own fence and gem stockpile can be targeted.

Tips worth knowing
  • Breaching another player's fence lets you get inside their base
  • Once inside, you can rob their gems directly
  • Repair your own fence after someone breaches it to slow down follow-up raids
  • Plan Oil Rig Heists for larger loot hauls than standard gem raids

Secret and hidden things worth finding

Tips
In short Several badges reward pure exploration, so look around the map even when you are not fighting.

Not everything in Nuke Tycoon is tied to combat or building. A handful of badges exist purely for exploring or stumbling onto hidden things.

Tips worth knowing
  • There is a hidden leaderboard somewhere on the map — finding it earns a badge
  • A developer or creator can spawn in-game; meeting them each earns a separate badge
  • One badge is described as a super secret reward that permanently gives you a jazz horn — its trigger is hidden by design
  • Two other badges exist with deliberately cryptic descriptions; treat them as easter eggs to discover naturally

Common questions

FAQ

Do I have to spend Robux to keep up with other players?

No, but free players unlock weapons and vehicles more slowly than those who spend. The group join bonus — 5,000 starter cash, SMLE Rifle access, and Uranium Booster access — is free.

Will I lose my progress if I leave mid-session?

Your tycoon autosaves, so you do not need to do anything manually before leaving.

What does rebirth actually do?

Taking your first rebirth is a milestone the game tracks with a badge. Rebirths reset some progress in exchange for unlocking stronger advancement.
