Choosing your race

Tips
In short Your race shapes how you gain stats, which transformations you unlock, and how your Ki works.

There are nine playable races: Human, Saiyan, Android, Namekian, Majin, Frieza, Jiren, Alien, and Tuffle. Each race has its own transformation paths and abilities. Androids have no transformations currently and instead rely on passive mechanics, upgrades, and exclusive Capsules. Saiyans have nine transformations split across Standard Forms, God Forms, and Other Forms.

Tips worth knowing
  • Saiyans gain 1 stat point every 3 levels and have nine transformations split across Standard Forms, God Forms, and Other Forms.
  • Humans gain 1 stat point every 2 levels and follow a Kaioken path that branches into Mystic and Mystic Kaio-ken.
  • Namekians gain 1 stat point every 2 levels and have four transformations plus abilities like Regeneration and Gum Gum Pistol.
  • Androids gain 1 stat point every level, but have no transformations currently available.
  • Androids fly without consuming Ki and their passive Ki regeneration is not interrupted by basic melee attacks.
  • Saiyans have Zenkai, which restores Health and Ki after transforming and can be used every 2 minutes while in base form.

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber

Tips
In short The Hyperbolic Time Chamber is a daily training location where experience gains are boosted by stored Potential. Access requires either 1,000 Robux or a Dragon Ball wish.

The chamber is found at The Lookout on Earth. Inside, players fight Goku or a party member and earn experience boosted by stored Potential. The Experience bar inside the chamber shows remaining training time rather than normal progress. Goku becomes progressively harder as the fight goes on, eventually reaching Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue.

Tips worth knowing
  • Access can be permanently unlocked by purchasing the Time Chamber Gamepass for 1,000 Robux, or through a Dragon Ball wish.
  • The chamber provides up to 30 minutes of training time per day while the player has sufficient Potential.
  • Goku serves as the default opponent and transforms into stronger forms as he takes damage.
  • A party member can join the session without owning the Gamepass, and both players spar each other instead of fighting Goku.
  • Experience earned fighting Goku counts toward the daily quest that requires leveling up by fighting another player.
  • If the player who owns access leaves while a party member remains inside, Goku replaces them as the remaining player's opponent.
  • Potential is consumed as the player gains levels during training.
03

The transfer system

Check
In short Transferring resets your character but grants bonuses each time, and the transfer cap is 125.

Transferring resets the character and grants a bonus. The transfer cap is 125, after which no more transfers are available.

  • Transferring resets the character back to the beginning of the leveling process.
  • A bonus is granted each time a transfer is performed.
  • The transfer cap is 125, after which no more transfers are available.
04

Android upgrades

Warn
In short The Upgrade Shop exists in East City (Destroyed) but is not yet available in-game.

When the Upgrade Shop releases, Androids will be able to spend Zenni on upgrades at the shop in East City (Destroyed). Each upgrade occupies a slot and a maximum of 3 upgrade slots can be active at once. Every upgrade trades one stat for another.

Worth watching out for
The Upgrade Shop and all its upgrades are currently unreleased and cannot be used in-game.
Removing an installed upgrade costs half its original purchase price.
The Assault upgrade increases Melee Damage and Ki Damage at the cost of Ki Max, costs $25,000, and requires level 50.
Androids can use a maximum of 3 upgrade slots at a time.
05

Potential and how it works

Tips
In short Potential is a hidden mechanic that directly controls how much experience you earn from all sources.

Potential is a hidden mechanic that scales the experience received from quests, defeating NPCs, fighting players, and Hyperbolic Time Chamber training. It accumulates while the chamber is not being used and reaches its maximum after approximately one week. The exact amount of stored Potential and the formula used to calculate its effect are not displayed to the player.

Tips worth knowing
  • Potential is consumed as the player gains levels, so experience gains decrease within a single session as the player levels up.
  • A minimum amount of stored Potential is required before the player can enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber again.
  • Higher Potential results in greater experience gains from quests, defeating NPCs, fighting players, and training inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Glossary

Glossary
Transfer
Resetting the character back to the start in exchange for a cumulative bonus, available up to 125 times.
Potential
A hidden mechanic that increases the experience earned from all sources; it accumulates while the Hyperbolic Time Chamber is unused and is consumed as the player gains levels.
God Ki
A separate energy bar used only by God Form transformations, which drains while those forms are active.
Zenkai
A Saiyan-exclusive ability that restores Health and Ki after transforming, usable once every 2 minutes while in base form.
Mastery
A progression system for transformations with three tiers — Base, Mastered, and Perfected — each improving the transformation's stats.
Ki Sickness
An Android-specific penalty that interrupts passive Ki regeneration and slows Ki recharge when an evasive ability is used at zero Ki.
Upgrade Slot
One of three available spaces Androids can fill with purchased upgrades from the Upgrade Shop.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber with a friend?

If a party member enters directly after the player who opened the chamber, both players are placed in the same training session and can spar each other. The additional party member does not need to own the Time Chamber Gamepass. If the player who owns access leaves while another party member remains inside, Goku will replace them as the remaining player's training opponent.

Why is my experience gain slowing down during a session?

Potential is consumed as the player gains levels, so the experience boost it provides decreases the more levels are gained in one sitting.
