The basic loop
StepEach session starts in the prison with nothing in your hands. You need to find tools before you can make any real progress through the walls. While you dig deeper, treasure and enemies both appear, and the further down you go, the more the prison's secrets open up.
- Dig through obstacles use whatever tools you have gathered to break through walls and barriers in your path.
- Collect treasure grab any treasure you find as you push forward; it is part of uncovering the prison's hidden secrets.
- Fight enemies be ready for enemies to appear deeper in; deal with them before continuing your dig.
- Survive disasters sudden crises can hit at any point, so react quickly when something goes wrong.
- Avoid the guard weave around the guard's line of sight throughout all of the above, because getting caught sets you back.
Ways to escape
TableReaching the exit is not a single fixed path. A recent update added a disguise-based escape alongside the standard route. The rooftop ending was also made easier following player feedback, so if that section stopped you before, it is worth trying again.
| Standard escape | follow the main dig route out of the prison without any special item. |
| Disguise escape | use a disguise to slip out through the new escape route added in the latest update. |
| Rooftop ending | a separate finale stage on the roof, now tuned to be less punishing than it originally was. |
Playing with a full team
TipsThe game supports up to 25 players at once. Having more people means you can cover more ground at the same time.
- Call out the guard's position whenever you spot it so teammates can adjust their route.
- Explore separate areas at the same time rather than everyone crowding the same tunnel.
