The two roles

Table

In short Rico and Hider play completely differently, and the game assigns your role automatically at the start.

When a round begins, every player is placed into one of two teams. You do not choose which side you get.

In short Learning the map's walls is the key skill for Rico, because bounced shots can reach spots a straight bullet never would.

Rico's bullets do not just fly in a straight line — they bounce off walls and floors. That means you can angle a shot around a corner to hit a hider who thinks they are safe. The more rounds you play, the better you will know which angles work on each map.

Fire toward a hider aim a shot directly if you have a clear line.
Use a wall bounce hit a wall at an angle so the bullet curves into a hiding spot.
Study the map after each round, notice which surfaces sent your shots where you wanted them.

Playing as Hider

Tips

In short Hiders who stay in one spot too long get picked off, so keep moving before Rico works out your position.

The moment the round starts, your priority is finding cover. Spots behind walls or in low areas are harder for Rico to hit with a bounced bullet. Staying in the same hiding place for too long gives Rico time to figure out the right angle, so be ready to relocate.

Tips worth knowing

Pick spots where bullets struggle to reach, such as behind solid walls or in recessed areas.
Change hiding spots before Rico locks onto your position.

Redeem codes

In short Each code can only be used once, so enter it carefully the first time.

The game hands out codes that you enter in-game for rewards. Once a code has been redeemed on your account, entering it again will not work. Codes can also expire, so use them when you find them.

Worth watching out for

Each code works once per account a used code cannot be entered again.

Codes expire, so do not save them for later if you can help it.

Glossary

Rico: The role that fires bouncing bullets and tries to hit all the hiders.
Hider: The role that hides from Rico's bullets and tries to survive the round.
Bounce: What happens when Rico's bullet strikes a wall or floor and changes direction, letting it reach spots behind cover.
