First steps after character creation

Step
In short Working through the academy tutorial and then picking up D-rank missions is the fastest way to find your footing early on.

Start by following the academy tutorial in order, trying each control as it is introduced. Once that is done, look for characters with a '?' above their head or visit the Hokage to pick up D-rank missions. Before heading out, read the mission details carefully — defeating a nearby enemy that is not your actual target will not count toward completion.

  1. Follow the academy tutorial work through each prompt in sequence so you learn the controls properly.
  2. Accept a D-rank mission find a character with a '?' overhead or speak to the Hokage to get your first assignment.
  3. Read the mission target check the name, location, and condition before you move out.
  4. Toggle the marker on PC, press L to switch the on-screen waypoint on or off if you cannot see where to go.
  5. Check your gains after each mission look at what abilities have grown and whether any new skills have become available.

Clan, family, and element — what each one does

Summary
In short Clan, family, and element each control a different part of your character, so knowing the difference stops you from spinning the wrong one by accident.

Three separate systems shape your character's capabilities, and their names are similar enough to cause confusion. A family bonus can strengthen certain attacks without giving you the clan's techniques directly, so it pays to understand what each slot actually controls before you start spinning.

  • Clan the source of your unique techniques and fighting style.
  • Family controls stats like health and chakra, and can boost attacks from specific clans or elements; the exact effect varies by family.
  • Element determines which elemental jutsu, such as fire or wind, your character uses.
  • Combination note jot down your current three choices when you start so changes are easier to track.

Unlocking and equipping skills

Step
In short Unlocking a skill in the skill tree and equipping it to a slot are two separate steps — both are required before you can use the skill in combat.

Press M to open the menu, then navigate to the Skill Tree to unlock techniques. Unlocking alone is not enough; you must also place the skill into an empty slot or swap it with one you already have equipped. Some elemental jutsu require a specific stat such as Ninjutsu to reach a set value before they become available, so levelling up your character is not always sufficient on its own.

  1. Open the Skill Tree press M to reach the menu, then select the skill you want.
  2. Unlock the skill confirm the unlock in the Skill Tree.
  3. Equip it to a slot drag it into a free slot or replace an existing skill.
  4. Test the input try the skill in a safe area to confirm which button fires it.
  5. Check locked skills read the required stat name and compare it to your current value; train that stat if you fall short.
05

Training to raise your stats

Step
In short Each type of training needs its own key input, and none of it starts unless the correct training tool is equipped first.

Training raises the individual stats that unlock new skills and improve your combat performance. The key distinction is that having a training tool in your inventory is not the same as having it equipped — if training will not start, check your equipment screen before anything else.

  1. Equip the training tool open your inventory, select the item such as Weight Shin Guards, and equip it.
  2. Train strength with the tool equipped, hold F on PC.
  3. Train chakra hold I to meditate.
  4. Train agility hold J for chakra jumping.
  5. Set a target look at the stat requirement on the skill you want next, then focus your sessions on that specific stat.
06

Combat basics

Tips
In short Managing your chakra and cooldowns carefully keeps you fighting steadily instead of running dry at the worst moment.

Every skill costs chakra and has a cooldown before it can be used again. Spamming strong skills burns through your chakra quickly, leaving you unable to act when it matters. Practice fighting one enemy at a time to build a rhythm of attacking and defending before taking on groups.

Tips worth knowing
  • Press F to block, Q to dash or dodge, and B to replenish chakra — check the current on-screen controls if you have changed your settings or are playing on mobile.
  • If a skill will not fire, check whether it is still on cooldown or whether your chakra is too low.
  • Refill chakra away from enemies so you are not interrupted mid-charge.
  • Fight one enemy at a time while you are learning — avoid pulling groups with area attacks.
07

Weekly bonus schedule

Table
In short Matching your heaviest sessions to the right bonus day is the simplest way to progress faster without extra effort.

The game runs a different bonus each set of days. If you can only play a few times a week, pick the days that match what you need most right now.

Monday–Tuesday1.5x Toki earned from enemies.
Wednesday–Thursday1.5x drop rate from boss enemies.
Friday–Sunday2x XP.
08

Using the spin system safely

Warn
In short Confirming which slot you are about to spin before you commit is the only way to avoid losing abilities you wanted to keep.

The spin screen lets you re-roll your clan, family, or element separately. Spinning changes whatever you currently have in that slot, so a spin is not a guaranteed way to add something — it replaces what is there.

Worth watching out for
Decide which of the three slots you actually want to change before opening the spin screen.
Read the slot name carefully spinning the clan slot when you meant to spin the family slot wastes your spin.
Confirm you have spins remaining before you proceed.
Make sure you are ready to lose the current ability in that slot the result is random.
09

Preparing for boss fights

Warn
In short A short check before each boss attempt saves far more time than repeating the fight underprepared.

Bosses deal more damage than regular enemies and demand that you arrive at full readiness. Wednesday and Thursday are the best days to run bosses because drops are 1.5x. If you lose, step back to regular missions and practice your chakra management and defence before returning.

Worth watching out for
Enter at full HP heal completely before engaging.
Check your gear outdated equipment is one of the most common reasons a boss run fails.
Confirm your skills are equipped unlocked but unequipped skills do nothing in the fight.
Schedule boss runs on Wednesday or Thursday to benefit from the 1.5x drop bonus.
If you keep losing, return to normal missions, train your stats, and come back when you are stronger.

Common questions

FAQ

I unlocked a skill but it still won't work in combat — why?

Unlocking in the Skill Tree and equipping to a slot are two separate steps. After you unlock a skill, open your equipped skills and drag it into a free slot or swap it with one you no longer use. Until both steps are complete, the skill cannot be used in a fight.

My character levelled up but the skill is still locked — what do I do?

Some elemental skills require a specific stat — such as Ninjutsu — to reach a set value, not just a higher character level. Check the locked skill's requirement, compare it to your current stat, and then use the matching training method to raise it.

Training won't start no matter what I press — what am I missing?

Having a training tool in your inventory is not the same as having it equipped. Open your equipment screen, select the training tool, and equip it first. Then hold F for strength training, I for chakra meditation, or J for agility training.

I can't see the waypoint for my mission — how do I find it?

On PC, press L to toggle the mission marker on and off. Make sure you have an active mission accepted before trying this, and double-check that you are heading toward the correct target listed in the mission details.

I keep losing to the same boss — what should I do?

Return to regular missions and use that time to practise chakra management and blocking. When you feel ready, schedule your next boss attempt on a Wednesday or Thursday so the 1.5x drop bonus makes the run more rewarding.

Which element should I pick at the start?

Pick whichever element appeals to you — you can experiment with the spin system to change it later.

Do I need to spend Robux to progress?

No — defeating enemies, collecting drops, completing missions, and training stats are all fully free. Using the weekly bonus windows and redeeming the available codes keeps a free-to-play player moving forward.

Can I play with friends?

Yes, the game supports cooperative play so you can team up to take on enemies together.
