How the mine loop works

Summary
In short Every floor follows the same cycle: mine ores, fill the OresBag, deliver it to the altar, then descend.

The core of every run is a simple repeating loop.

  • Mine ores use your pickaxe to break ore veins throughout the tunnels.
  • Fill the OresBag collected ores go into the bag, which you then carry.
  • Deliver to the altar bring the OresBag to the altar to unlock the next floor; doing this ten times earns the Altar Offering badge.
  • Rest on a Safe Floor Safe Floors offer a brief break; leaving one safely earns the Safe Return badge.
  • Hunt for gems and diamonds digging also turns up diamonds, earning the Sparkling Discovery badge when you first find diamonds.
  • Go deeper floor milestone badges unlock at Floor 5, Floor 10, Floor 15, and Floor 20.

Hiding from PETAPETA

Warn
In short PETAPETA blends into shadows and hunts silently — being spotted ends your run immediately.

PETAPETA lurks in the dark parts of the tunnels. The game is built around one rule: if it sees you, you are done. Your only options are to avoid it before it spots you and to use the environment to break its line of sight once it is close.

Worth watching out for
Use narrow paths the twisting tunnels have tight passages that you can slip into to break away from PETAPETA.
Use items to escape the mine contains items specifically designed to help you get away when PETAPETA is nearby.

Classes and leveling them up

Tips
In short Unlocking and leveling classes is a long-term goal that runs alongside your mining progress.

Two classes are available: Runner and Mad Scientist. Each has three levels. Unlocking a new class earns the New Profession badge; leveling any class earns the Step Up badge. Both classes have their own Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 badges, giving you six class-specific badges to work toward in total.

Tips worth knowing
  • Unlock the Runner class to earn the Runner Level1 badge, then push it to Level 2 and Level 3 for the remaining Runner badges.
  • Unlock Mad Scientist for the MadScientist Level1 badge, and level it up through Level 2 and Level 3 the same way.

Mining milestones worth chasing

Table
In short There are three mining milestones, and reaching each one takes a serious time investment.

The game tracks how many ore veins you have broken across all your runs. These milestones are long-term targets, not something you clear in a single session.

Rock Breakermine 1,000 ore veins
Veteran Minermine 10,000 ore veins
The Demolishermine 100,000 ore veins

Weekly gem rankings

Tips worth knowing
  • Gem Rush Champion rewards placing in the top ten for total gems obtained that week.
  • The Big One rewards placing in the top ten for the single largest gem found that week.

Common questions

FAQ

How do I get to the next floor?

Fill your OresBag with mined ores and carry it to the altar. Delivering it there unlocks the next floor and lets you descend.

What happens when PETAPETA sees me?

Your run ends immediately. Use narrow tunnels and items to stay out of its sight.

How do I unlock a new class?

Classes are unlocked through gameplay inside the mine. Unlocking one earns the New Profession badge, and leveling it up earns a badge at each stage. Both Runner and Mad Scientist follow a three-level structure.

Do the weekly rankings reset automatically?

Yes, all three gem rankings reset on a weekly basis. That means your totals for gems collected, largest gem found, and gem sales all go back to zero at the start of each new week.
