01

Before you drop in

Check
In short Sorting out your controls and learning the chat commands before you start will save you a lot of frustration mid-mission.

Project: Creedbreaker does not support controllers. If you are playing on a console, you will need a mouse and keyboard adapter before you can do anything else. Beyond the hardware, there are two chat commands worth memorising now rather than hunting for them when you need them.

  • Mouse and keyboard ready controllers are not supported and will not work
  • Console players need a mouse and keyboard adapter connected before launching
  • Type 'unstuck' in chat if you get trapped during an Infiltration mission
  • Type 'votekick/[USERNAME]' in chat to start a vote to remove a disruptive player
  • Up to six players can be in one room, so coordinate with your squad before you begin

02

Mission types and what they ask of you

Tips
In short Each mission has a specific goal, and reading that goal before you move is the difference between winning and wasting a run.

The missions in Project: Creedbreaker are not all built the same way. Some ask you to eliminate a single powerful target, others demand you hold a position or interact with objects around the map.

Tips worth knowing
  • In Daybreak, your only objective is bringing down the Scourge of the Doomed Night
  • Perimeter Secured is a wave defence — hold out against an onslaught of foes
  • Percussive Maintenance requires you to stabilise every single Corrupted Anchor on the map — missing even one means the badge will not unlock
  • Bury the Hatchet tasks you with wiping out the Vanguard Squad left behind by the B.S.D.
  • 0 Seconds to Midnight is earned by completing the full Simulation
03

Why strong gear is not enough

Warn
In short The expanded arsenal makes MERCs powerful, but A-888 has developed its own countermeasures, so overconfidence will get your squad killed.

The game's own description calls overconfidence an insidious killer. MERCs have access to a greatly expanded set of weapons and skills compared to the original project, but A-888 has adapted.

Worth watching out for
A-888 has developed its own tricks, so do not assume your firepower alone will carry a run
Save 'unstuck' for genuine emergencies during Infiltration
Type 'votekick/[USERNAME]' to initiate a votekick against a disruptive player
