How the game works
SummaryEvery match puts multiple players on one map. Eliminating other players raises your standing, and the last player alive wins. Weapons and items are scattered across the map for anyone to pick up, so every player starts on equal footing.
- Goal eliminate other players and be the last one standing
- Weapons picked up from the map; all players have the same access
- Items power-ups and health recovery are also found on the map
- Character choice affects appearance only, not performance
- Cost no paid advantages exist; everything is earned in the match

Getting started in your first match
StepWhen you enter a match, your first priority is equipment, not combat. Players who arm themselves quickly have a big edge over those who are still empty-handed. Stay away from clusters of enemies while you get set up.
- Grab the first weapon you see even a basic weapon keeps you from being completely defenseless
- Collect recovery items health items and speed boosts are worth picking up whenever you spot them
- Scout quietly walk areas where enemies are sparse so you can build your loadout safely
Reading a fight before it starts
StepWhen you spot an enemy, pause for a second before opening fire. Check whether that player is alone and whether you have the positional advantage. If the situation looks bad, retreating is a completely valid call.
- Check for nearby allies confirm the enemy is alone before committing to the fight
- Assess your position if you are on higher ground or at a safer distance, engage; if not, reposition first
- Manage range back away while shooting when an enemy closes in, or switch to a close-range weapon
- Decide on pursuit if an enemy runs, quickly judge whether chasing is worth the risk before following
- Retreat when your health is low stop shooting, reach cover, and recover before re-engaging
Weapon types and when to use them
TableThe map contains several weapon types. Swapping between them as the distance to your enemy changes is one of the fastest ways to improve your win rate.
| Ranged weapons | best when you can keep space between you and the enemy |
| Close-range weapons | use these when an enemy is right on top of you |
| One-use item weapons | save these for moments when multiple enemies are grouped together for maximum effect |
| Weapon switching | change weapons the instant the distance to your enemy changes significantly |
What to fix when you keep losing
CheckAfter each match, run through this list.
- Did you collect weapons right at the start, before encountering any enemy?
- Were you fighting at a safe distance rather than letting enemies crowd you?
- Did you retreat and recover instead of stubbornly trading hits when your health was low?
- Did you use parts of the map with fewer enemies to get fully equipped before fighting?
- Were you shooting from higher ground at least some of the time?
Kill-count badges and what they mean for your play
SummaryThe game tracks your total eliminations and awards badges at set thresholds. Chasing these badges is a natural way to push yourself to engage more rather than hiding. There are also a handful of one-off discovery badges tied to exploring the map and crossing paths with the creator.
- 10 kills first milestone; reachable once you have the basics down
- 50 kills mid-range goal that rewards consistent match play
- 100 kills the top kill badge, earned through extended time and strong game sense
- Landing on a specific building a hidden spot on the map rewards exploration
- Creator encounters meeting or being killed by the creator each earn their own badge, as does eliminating the creator

Common questions
FAQWhat should a new player focus on first?
Grab weapons as fast as possible and keep your distance from enemies until you are properly equipped. Think of your first few minutes in each match as a preparation phase rather than a fighting phase.
What do I do when I am surrounded by multiple enemies?
Run immediately. Duck into a building or move to a different part of the map so you can deal with one enemy at a time.
Do I need to spend money to stay competitive?
No. There are no paid advantages in Dimension 23. Every player picks up weapons and items under exactly the same conditions.
