First steps on the island
StepWhen you first arrive, the game walks you through a survival tutorial that covers one full day of missions. Finishing it is worth doing — it teaches you the core loop before things get complicated. From there, your immediate priorities are recruiting islanders, building houses for them, and getting food production started.
- Finish the tutorial complete it to learn the basic building and survival loop before branching out on your own.
- Recruit islanders use the invitation mechanic to bring people to your island.
- Assign houses immediately every islander needs their own house so they can sleep and recover energy.
- Start food production set up farming and cooking facilities early so your islanders never go hungry.
Keeping islanders fed and rested
WarnIslanders who sleep in a house recover energy much faster than those left without one. As your population grows, food consumption rises with it, so production facilities that felt sufficient early on can quickly fall short.
Buildings and what each one does for you
TipsEach building serves a different purpose, and knowing which ones to invest in at each stage stops you from wasting resources.
- Food and cooking facilities keep your islanders from going hungry.
- The Trade Building lets you swap goods for resources you are short on.
- Advanced tool-making facilities raise your overall productivity.
- Houses should be built or expanded every time your population grows — never let islanders go without one.
- Fishing provides food without needing eggs, taking pressure off other food sources.
Expanding the island over time
CheckThe badges in the game give a clear picture of the progression path. Logging, multiple rounds of expansion, building a dock and a shipyard, placing population, deploying soldiers, and rescuing people from the water are all milestones you work toward. Upgrading the treehouse is also a named goal.
- Get your lumber operation running chopping wood is one of the earliest milestones and feeds almost every other build.
- Expand the island at least once, then plan for two more expansions later.
- Build a dock, then a shipyard these are separate construction milestones.
- Place population and soldiers when the time comes both are distinct steps in the progression.
- Rescue people from the water when the opportunity appears it is a repeatable objective that shows up more than once.
- Upgrade your treehouse it is a specific upgrade goal.
Playing without spending Robux
TipsThe only paid perk is a 20% wood bonus for Premium members. Everything else — building, expanding, recruiting, producing — is available to all players. Free VIP servers are also available if you are experiencing lag.
- Redeem codes as soon as you find them — each code works once per account and can expire.
- Use a free VIP server if the main servers feel laggy — the game itself points this out as an option.
- The game updates every Saturday, so check back weekly for new content.
What to check when progress stalls
CheckIf your island feels stuck, run through this list before doing anything else.
- Check your food stockpile if it is low or empty, production needs to be your immediate focus.
- Count your houses against your population if any islander lacks a home, build more housing right away.
- Review your building upgrade levels facilities that have not been upgraded slow everything down.
- Check the Trade Building if you are short on a specific resource, trading for it can unblock a bottleneck.

Common questions
FAQWhy do islanders need their own houses?
Sleeping in a house causes islanders to recover energy much faster. Every islander without a home is working at reduced capacity.
My food keeps running out — what should I do?
Upgrade your food production facilities, since higher-level buildings produce more with the same effort. You can also try fishing, which provides food without requiring eggs.
Does it matter if I miss a weekly update?
New content is added every Saturday, but missing one does not lock you out. You can pick up newly added content whenever you next play.
Is there any benefit to using a VIP server?
VIP servers are free and help with lag. The game itself recommends them for players experiencing lag.
