How the controls work

Step
In short The log only moves when both players push opposite buttons at the same time.

Neither player can move the log alone. One of you presses forward while the other presses backward, and that opposite pressure is what makes the log spin. Before you start a run, agree on who takes which direction.

  1. Agree on roles decide with your partner who will hold forward and who will hold backward before the stage begins.
  2. Press opposite buttons both players must be pressing at the same time, and the buttons must be different from each other to spin the log.
  3. Change direction swap which button you press to reverse the log's rotation when an obstacle requires it.
  4. Call out hazards tell your partner what you can see ahead so you both react at the same moment.

The two worlds

Summary
In short Finishing each world earns a badge and marks real progress through the game.

There are two worlds available to play through. Each one has its own completion badge waiting at the end.

  • World 1 finishing it earns the Winner badge.
  • World 2 finishing it earns the Professionals badge.
03

Giant boulder hazard

Warn
In short A boulder can crush you and end your run, so watch for it early and react fast.

Giant boulders appear during the stages and can crush both players if you do not get clear in time. Getting crushed awards the Steamrolled badge.

Worth watching out for
Spot the boulder early tell your partner the moment you see one approaching so you have more time to react.
Reverse your direction quickly switch the log's rotation immediately to move away from the boulder's path.
If you want the Steamrolled badge, let the boulder catch you on purpose.

Fixes when you are stuck

Check
In short Most stuck moments come down to a role mix-up or a timing mismatch, both of which are quick to fix.

When the log stops moving or goes the wrong way, work through these checks with your partner before anything else.

  • Confirm your roles make sure neither of you accidentally switched to the same button as your partner.
  • Check your timing you need to be pressing at the same moment.
  • Share what you see if one player spots an obstacle the other has not noticed, the mixed reactions can stall the log.
