About

Overview

Get Hit by a Car Simulator does exactly what the name says: you step into a stage, a car comes, and you get hit. The main goal is collecting all 17 badges by experiencing different things the game throws at you, from basic crashes to hidden events and secret conditions.

Your first few minutes

Step
In short Getting hit right away is the point, and your first badge proves it.

The game starts you on a stage where a car approaches. You do not need to do anything special — just stand there and let it hit you. That earns the 'death' badge, and from that moment the badge hunt is on.

  1. Enter the stage a car will come toward you automatically.
  2. Take the hit surviving the collision unlocks the 'death' badge.
  3. Find a high spot falling from height and taking fall damage unlocks 'break your legs'.
  4. Keep playing your total distance traveled builds up, and reaching one million unlocks 'distance accumulator'.
  5. Cross the road doing so earns the 'cross the road' badge.

Freecam on PC

Tips
In short Turning on freecam lets you watch crashes from any angle you like.

The game officially supports a freecam mode on PC. Turning off the death camera alongside it gives you the most freedom to move the view around.

Tips worth knowing
  • Press Shift+P to toggle freecam on — this only works on PC.
  • Turn off the death camera so freecam moves without interruption.
03

Badges worth hunting

Check
In short Most badges come from simply playing, but a handful require you to seek out specific situations.

Seventeen badges are spread across everyday play, hidden spots, special events, and unusual conditions.

  • Play-as-normal badges 'death', 'cross the road', 'break your legs', and 'distance accumulator' come from standard in-game actions.
  • Event badge 'those were the days...' requires encountering the retro event.
  • Story and world badges 'callback episode' is described as the doomed world being saved.
  • Shop badge 'advanced consumer society' is earned by participating in consumerism.
04

Badges that warn you off

Warn
In short A few badges carry explicit cautions in their descriptions — read them before you go after them.

Not every badge is a straightforward reward. Three in particular come with language that tells you to think twice.

Worth watching out for
The 'hubris' badge description reads 'DO NOT GET THIS BADGE!!!' in capital letters you have been warned.
The 'marked for termination' badge description says 'you know what you've done.'
The 'very dangerous' badge lists its risk as 99999, and 'Don't act dumb.' tells you plainly to refrain from participating in foolish behaviors.
