Animal Restaurant — The basic shift loop
About
OverviewAnimal Restaurant (Anomaly) is a survival game where you work the night shift at a restaurant full of animals — some of whom are dangerous anomalies in disguise. You cook orders, serve customers, and watch for anything suspicious before it's too late. This guide covers the core loop, how to handle anomalies, how to protect every customer, and how to get the most out of playing with friends.

The basic shift loop
StepEvery shift follows the same cycle: take orders, cook them before customers lose patience, and serve the food. Keep doing that until the shift ends. Your first goal is simply to finish Shift 1 and earn the First Day badge.
- Check orders look at what each customer wants the moment they sit down.
- Cook fast finish the dish before the customer runs out of patience and leaves.
- Deliver carry the food to the right table.
- Stay aware scan the room constantly while you cook and serve.
- Survive to morning the shift ends when you make it through the night.
Spotting and handling anomalies
WarnAnomalies look like ordinary customers at first. Watch every guest for strange behavior, because missing the signs means someone gets hurt. Two specific situations require immediate action: any customer who is about to be attacked by an anomaly, and a customer called the Head Banger.
Keeping every customer alive
CheckThe Clean Record badge requires no customer deaths through Shift 10; Nothing Lost extends that to Shift 20. Both demand that you juggle cooking and anomaly detection without dropping either. Run through this checklist whenever things get hectic.
- Verify you have not missed any unusual customer behavior in the last few moments.
- Confirm your current order is still on track and will reach the table in time.
- Scan the whole screen for anyone in a dangerous situation, not just the table you are serving.
Playing with three or more friends
TipsUp to twenty players can share one server, so there is plenty of room for a group. Two co-op badges — Full Staff at Shift 5 and Working Together at Shift 10 — each require at least three players to be present.
- Plan group sessions for weekends, when the game pays out double cash rewards.
- Aim for Shift 5 first as a group before pushing toward Shift 10 together.
Earning cash and upgrading
SummaryEvery shift you complete earns cash that you can put toward upgrading the restaurant. The double-rewards weekend event doubles that cash.
- Cash source completing shifts and serving customers
- Weekend bonus 2x cash every weekend
- Use spending cash on restaurant upgrades
