Controls to learn first
CheckAll the core actions in Last Stop map to a handful of keys. Click handles both grabbing items and firing weapons, so get comfortable with that dual purpose early. Note that picking something up and equipping it are two separate steps.
- Click grab items or shoot your weapon
- Z enter build mode to place parts or attach them to the bus
- E equip an item or use it directly
- Q drop an item from your inventory
- R reload your gun
- TAB open your inventory to manage gear
- Y inspect an item
Getting the bus moving
StepWhen you first start, the bus needs wheels and fuel before it will go anywhere. Having fuel in your inventory is not enough — you have to put it into the fuel furnace and confirm the gauge has risen.
- Attach the wheels pick up each wheel, carry it to the attachment point on the bus, and press Z to fix it in place; make sure it is locked to the body, not just sitting nearby
- Fill the fuel furnace place your fuel inside the furnace, then check that the fuel gauge actually increases
- Head to the driver's seat if the bus still will not move, go back and re-check the wheels and fuel gauge
Events running now or coming soon. They have fixed dates, so check them first.
The core loop: scavenge, sell, upgrade
StepYou leave the bus to scavenge abandoned buildings, return with loot, sell it at a terminal, and spend what you earn on better gear.
- Scavenge the ruins explore buildings, fight or dodge enemies, and collect loot
- Sell at the terminal unload items you do not need and turn them into cash
- Buy better gear spend cash on stronger weapons or armor
- Refill the furnace after buying fuel, put it in the furnace and confirm the gauge goes up
Crafting at the workbench
TipsThe workbench lets you make parts rather than always buying them. A Basic Wheel costs two Wood and four Scrap to craft. Badges reward crafting 25, 150, and 500 items total.
- Set aside Wood and Scrap during runs so you can craft a spare Basic Wheel before you need one
- After crafting a wheel, make sure it is attached to the bus body — holding it in your hand does not count
- Crafting counts accumulate across the whole game, so every item you make at the bench adds to your total
Checkpoint fights and NPC rescues
StepCheckpoints are different from regular ruins. The gate will not open until you have defeated all enemies in the area and completed any objectives present, such as collecting a key or freeing a captive character. If the gate stays shut, look for enemies you missed or an objective you have not finished.
- Clear the enemies pick a position where you will not be surrounded, and fall back if the group gets too large
- Find the key search the area for a key item and pick it up
- Open the cell and rescue the captive use the key on the cell door to free whoever is inside
- Collect supplies and confirm objectives check that all goals are done, top up fuel and gear, then leave
Teamwork and bus customization
TipsYou can add wooden walls and other parts to the bus for extra protection, but blocking the driver's view, the entry points, or the path to the fuel furnace will make the bus harder to use than it was before. After any modification, actually climb aboard and check that everything still works. In a team, reviving fallen teammates is one of the most effective things you can do — badges reward reaching 50 revives.
- Before adding a wall, confirm it will not block the driver's sightlines, the door, or the fuel furnace
- Test every modification by boarding the bus and running through normal actions
- Revive teammates whenever you safely can
- Before setting off, make sure everyone is back on the bus
Long-term goals and special challenges
SummaryBadges show you what the game is built around beyond the basic loop. Many reward total distance traveled across all your runs, so every kilometer counts even in a run that ends early.
- Distance milestones badges at 100, 250, 500, 1 000, 2 000, and 4 000 km total, plus a separate badge for reaching 80 km in a single solo run
- Team distance reaching 80 km in one run with a full team of four earns its own badge
- Kill count zombie kill badges at 100, 500, and 2 000 kills track your combat progress over time
- Named boss defeating Anubis earns the God Slayer badge
- Wealth milestones selling 25 000 and 125 000 in total item value marks economic progress
- Vault target accumulating 250 Ticket value in your vault is its own goal
Hidden objectives and NPC interactions
TipsSome characters in the game give you information that leads to secret rewards. One badge is earned by entering the correct hospital code even though the Doctor gives you an incomplete one. Another requires keeping Detective Jack Hollow alive until he locates Fred. A third comes from paying a character called Noodle entirely in empty cans, and a fourth from winning three consecutive bids against Oscar Reed.
- If an NPC gives you a partial code or unusual request, treat it as a puzzle rather than a dead end
- Protect named NPCs during their scripted sequences — their survival can be a badge condition
- Empty cans are worth holding onto rather than selling if you want to deal with Noodle on his own terms
- Bid carefully when Oscar Reed is involved — winning three in a row is the goal

Common questions
FAQThe bus will not move — what do I check?
First confirm that wheels are physically attached to the bus body using Z, not just placed nearby. Then check the fuel furnace, not your inventory — fuel has to be inside the furnace and the gauge must go up before the bus will run.
The checkpoint gate will not open — what am I missing?
Checkpoints require you to finish every objective in the area, which can include defeating all enemies, finding a key, and freeing a captive character. Check for any enemies still active or any step you have not completed, because leaving and returning does not reset the requirement.
My gun will not fire even though I have ammo — why?
The ammo type in your inventory must match what your gun takes. A revolver needs Medium Ammo specifically. Once you have the right type, press R to reload before trying to fire.
Can I play alone, or do I need a team?
You can play solo — there is even a badge for reaching 80 km in a single solo run.
Is there anything I can only get by spending Robux?
Scavenging, selling loot, crafting, upgrading the bus, and fighting bosses are all part of the free path through the game. Progress is driven by the in-game money you earn, not by purchases.
