Getting started as a new prisoner
StepYou begin the game physically weak, so your first move is to build your strength. Once your basic abilities are up, you can start digging underground to earn cash. That cash is what you spend on gear.
- Raise your strength before doing anything else.
- Head underground and collect cash from the soil layers below the prison.
- Spend what you earn on gear that improves your digging and your chances of escaping.

Managing your digging time
WarnDigging continuously fills up a suspicion gauge. When that gauge gets too high, a guard spots you and the run ends. You need to stop digging periodically to let the suspicion level drop.
Soil layers underground
TableThe underground is divided into multiple soil layers, each hiding different treasures.
| Shallow layers | safer to dig and good for early income. |
| Deep layers | more valuable treasures are buried here, but the extra digging time increases your suspicion gauge. |
