Core progression loop
Step
In short
Growing your class through skills and transformations is what opens up new bosses and content.
Everything in Anime Rails builds on three things: your class, the skills attached to it, and the transformations you unlock along the way. More than 20 classes are available. Each new skill and transformation you unlock makes harder bosses reachable.
- Pick a class choose one from the 20+ available and develop it.
- Unlock skills each new skill expands what you can do in a fight.
- Unlock transformations transformations layer on top of skills.
- Challenge bosses use your growing kit to work through the different bosses the game offers.
- Collect Dragon Balls gather all of them to summon the Dragon and earn the Eternal Wish Granted badge.
- Check your badges each badge tells you what major goal you have left to hit.

Co-op content and group requirements
CheckIn short
Some content cannot be done alone, so organise a group before you try it.
Several pieces of content are built around teamwork. The Ritual has a hard requirement: you need five other players to complete it. Infinity Castle is another co-op challenge where clearing it with your allies earns you the Cleared The Infinity Castle badge.
- You have at least five other players ready before attempting the Ritual.
- Infinity Castle requires coordinating with your allies to overcome the odds.

Bosses and dungeons
Tips
The game has several distinct fights and dungeons, each with a different style.
Tips worth knowing
- The Arise Dungeon tests your ability to avoid traps.
- Infinity Castle is a team dungeon where you fight alongside allies.
- The Final Boss is the hardest fight in the game — beating it earns the Beast Slayer badge.
- All of these fights reward a different badge, which makes them easy to track as personal goals.

Glossary- Class
- One of more than 20 roles you can obtain and develop, forming the foundation of your build.
- Transformation
- A powered-up form unlocked alongside skills that gives you a further combat boost.
- The Abyss
- The corrupting force that plunged the game's world into eternal darkness and whose army you fight throughout.
- Dragon Balls
- Collectible items you gather to summon the Dragon and earn the Eternal Wish Granted badge.
- Ritual
- A co-op challenge that requires you and five other players to merge your power together.
- Infinity Castle
- A difficult co-op dungeon cleared by fighting alongside allies against overwhelming odds.
- Arise Dungeon
- A dungeon where avoiding traps is as important as defeating enemies.

There are more than 20 classes to obtain. Each one can be developed further by unlocking new skills and transformations.
Can I play solo or do I need a group?
The Ritual specifically requires five other players, so that piece of content cannot be completed alone.
