How a round works
SummaryEach round splits players into two unequal sides: one Killer and eight Survivors. The Killer wins by taking out every Survivor before the timer ends. Survivors win by escaping or by lasting through the round. The Killer is more powerful than any single Survivor, but being outnumbered eight to one is the trade-off.
- Killer goal eliminate all eight Survivors within the time limit
- Survivor goal reach the exit point or outlast the timer as a group
- Power balance the Killer has stronger abilities, Survivors have the numbers
Guest 1337 — the defensive Survivor
TableGuest 1337 is a Sentinel-class Survivor you can buy for 500 Player Points. The kit is built around reacting to the Killer rather than running from them. Blocking an incoming attack at the right moment opens a window to stun the Killer with a counter-punch. The charge move knocks the Killer back when you need breathing room.
| Role | Sentinel Survivor focused on defense |
| Cost | 500 Player Points |
| Signature move | block the Killer's attack, then counter-punch to stun them |
| Charge | knock the Killer back to create distance |
| Difficulty | high, because blocking requires split-second timing |

Common questions
FAQCan I play Codename: Redux alone?
The Survivor side needs eight players, so that side always involves other people online. The Killer is a single player role, but you are still matched against the group of eight Survivors.
Does joining the group actually matter?
It gives a 25% XP bonus every round, which speeds up progression. It has no effect on your in-game strength or on who wins rounds.
