How badge unlocks actually work
StepBadges are tied to specific challenges around the map. Earning one does not hand you the creature on its own — you still have to buy it with credits after the badge is in your account.
- Complete the challenge each badge has its own condition, such as finding a hidden object or surviving a specific encounter
- Spend your credits buy the creature with credits to start playing it
Challenges to chase across the map
TipsThe map holds hidden objects, named boss creatures, and special events.
- Search for the hidden T. rex skull to open the path toward defeating the apex Giganotosaurus, Zeb — beating Zeb unlocks the Giganotosaurus badge
- Collect Dr. Wu's vials scattered around the map, then survive the encounter inside the laboratory to earn the Tenebris Rex badge
- Escape the Tyrannosaurus during the raft chase to complete the Rebirth Expedition badge, which unlocks six creatures: Mutarex, Distortadon, Rebirth Tyrannosaurus, Rebirth Spinosaurus, Rebirth Velociraptor, and Titanosaurus
- Let a meteor hit you in the field to earn the Strike me Down badge and unlock the Smoldering Giganotosaurus
- Find the beached submarine and collect the sample in the mosasaurus lagoon for the Indomitable Fury badge — note that this badge is currently unobtainable

Common questions
FAQI earned a badge. Can I play the creature right away?
No. Earning the badge unlocks the creature for purchase, but you still need to spend credits before you can play it. Both steps are required.
Is there a way to get the three unobtainable creatures?
Not at the moment. Indomitable Fury, Rhymes with..., and Royal Predator are all locked, which means Diablotyrannus, The Caveman, and Maloraptor cannot be unlocked right now.
How many players can be in a server at once?
Each server holds up to 50 players.
Do all dinosaurs have four roars?
No. The fourth roar is not available on every species.
