The core survival loop
SummaryMad Road is built around a repeating cycle.
Smarter resource collection
Tips- Search inside ruined buildings, not just the open ground around them.
- Rotate between several areas.
- High-enemy zones carry better rewards, so go in only when your vehicle is ready.
Balancing weapons and armor
WarnEnemies are stationed near bases and ruins throughout the world. Watching how enemies attack before charging in can reveal openings you can exploit safely.
Using safe havens effectively
CheckSafe havens are spread across the world. When you find one during exploration, remember its location — it becomes an escape route the moment enemies pin you down. Storing resources there regularly protects everything you have gathered.
- Note the location of every safe haven you discover so you can reach them under pressure.
- Return to a haven regularly to offload collected resources.
- When enemies are chasing you, head straight for the nearest haven.
- Securing more than one haven gives you backup options across different parts of the map.
Free-to-play and paid passes
TipsMad Road does not lock its core survival loop behind a paywall. The main difference a pass makes is the rate at which you accumulate diamonds.
- Free play — full access to exploration, combat, and vehicle customization.
- Paid pass — increased diamond earnings.
- The July 31 update added new passes alongside the four-person vehicle.

Common questions
FAQWhere do I learn the controls?
The tutorial at the start of the game covers the basic controls and objectives.
Why do I keep getting destroyed by enemies?
Check whether your vehicle's weapon and armor upgrades are out of balance. If both feel weak, spend runs in safer areas to build up resources before tackling tougher zones.
