Getting started on the map

Step
In short Exploring the map and gathering basic resources is the first thing you do in every session.

When you join, you are placed directly into the world with dinosaurs already around you. Your immediate job is to move through the map and collect the raw materials you will need to build a base. Everything else — weapons, armor, tools — comes after that foundation is in place.

  1. Explore the map move through the world and look for wood, stone, and other resources.
  2. Build your base construct your base using the materials you have collected; it becomes your crafting hub and safe haven.
  3. Craft your gear once the base is up, use it to make weapons, tools, and armor before venturing further out.

Staying alive — combat and item loss

Warn
In short You keep your save file when you die, but every item on you drops at a tombstone, so managing your inventory matters.

Death does not reset your world progress or erase your save. However, anything you are carrying at the moment you die lands in a tombstone on the map. Every time you meet a dinosaur, decide quickly whether to fight, tame, or run.

Worth watching out for
When you die, your items drop at a tombstone on the map.
Running and hiding is a valid choice alongside fighting or taming.
03

Hunting versus taming dinosaurs

Table
In short Both approaches are available, and you choose based on the situation.

Every dinosaur you encounter gives you a choice. Hunting lets you kill the dinosaur. Taming turns the dinosaur into an ally that fights alongside you.

Huntuse your crafted weapons to kill a dinosaur.
Tamesuccessfully tame a dinosaur and it becomes a companion that helps you in combat.

Unlocking classes and races with fossils and crude oil

Tips
In short Fossils and crude oil are the two resources that open up new classes and races, including the Doctor class.

Beyond wood and stone, the map contains fossils and crude oil. These two resources are what you spend to unlock new classes and races. The Doctor class is one of the options you can unlock this way.

Tips worth knowing
  • Collect fossils found across the map.
  • Collect crude oil from the map.
  • Unlocking the Doctor class and other new classes and races requires collecting both fossils and crude oil.
05

Redeem codes

Check
In short Codes are time-limited and single-use, so redeem any new code as soon as you see it.

The developers release codes periodically through their community. Each code can only be used once, and older codes expire. The option to enter a code is available through the in-game menu.

  • Open the in-game menu to find the code entry screen.
  • Each code only works once, so do not try a code you have already used.
  • Check the game's community channels regularly since codes are released over time and old ones stop working.
