How to read the map in the first few seconds
StepWhen a round begins, you have a short window before the tsunami arrives. Use those first moments to look around and commit to a path upward. Terrain does not change between attempts, so every failed run teaches you something useful.
- Scan the terrain look for the highest reachable point near your starting position
- Pick a route choose a path with the fewest obstacles between you and that high ground
- Start climbing move immediately; hesitating eats into your lead time
- Avoid the dark water keep it in your peripheral vision so you never accidentally step in it
- Adjust on the next attempt if you fail, try a different route up rather than repeating the same one
When you keep failing the same round
CheckBefore trying again, run through this list. Most deaths have one of a handful of causes, and identifying yours makes the next attempt count.
- Did you reach a high enough elevation before the wave arrived?
- Did you touch the dark water at any point, even briefly?
- Is there another path up you have not tried yet?

Common questions
FAQCan I finish rounds without buying anything from the shop?
Yes. Shop items support your movement but are not required. Choosing the right route to high ground is more important than any purchase, and the game is designed so free players can clear rounds.
What happens when I fail a round?
Nothing permanent. There is no penalty for getting wiped out, and you can jump straight into the next round. Think of each failure as a chance to learn the terrain.
I keep dying in the same spot. What should I try?
First check whether you are grazing the dark water somewhere along your path — even a brief touch ends the round. If the water is not the issue, look for an entirely different route to the top rather than repeating the same climb.
Does playing with friends make the game easier?
It can. Watching a friend take a different path sometimes reveals a better route you had not considered. On complicated terrain, coordinating with others speeds up figuring out the safest way up.
