How the rope swing works
TipsYour grapple hook replaces normal walking as your main way to move. Swinging can reach speeds five times faster than running on foot, so building and controlling momentum matters throughout every stage. The arc of your swing is what carries you forward — release at the wrong moment and you fall short or overshoot.
- Let go at the peak of your swing arc to travel the maximum distance.
- If you feel your speed getting out of control, release the rope earlier to shed momentum before landing.
- Grab the rope as high up as you can — a higher attachment point makes the arc wider and sends you farther.
- Watch where you are drifting left or right mid-swing, and work backwards from your target landing spot to correct it.
- Before a fan or portal, release the rope so the grapple is not active when the effect hits you — it keeps your movement cleaner.
The 120-stage difficulty ladder
StepThe game splits its 120 stages into ten difficulty ranks. Every time you clear another block of ten, you unlock a badge that marks your progress. Getting through all 120 stages earns the Beat the Game badge.
- Stages 1–10 clear these to earn the Very Easy badge.
- Stages 11–20 finish these for the Easy badge.
- Stages 21–50 work through Normal, Medium, and Challenging one rank at a time.
- Stages 51–90 Hard, Insane, Extreme, and Master.
- Stages 91–110 Nightmare and Impossible.
- Stages 111–120 the final stretch before the Beat the Game badge.
Gimmicks to watch for
CheckThe stages mix several obstacle types. Spending a moment to watch a gimmick before acting can help.
- Moving platforms wait for the platform to reach the position closest to you before grabbing on.
- Fans figure out which direction the fan pushes before you enter its range, then plan your rope release around it.
Boss badges and end-game goals
SummaryOnce you have worked through the stage ranks, two special badges mark the real end of the game. They are separate from the ten difficulty badges.

- The part where he kills you reaching a boss encounter
