Surviving Granny's house
WarnGranny reacts to any noise in the house. Dropping an item causes her to run to the exact spot it landed, so always plan your route before picking anything up. When she is heading toward you, your only options are to hide in a wardrobe or squeeze under a bed. Before entering any room, check where the nearest hiding spot is so you are never caught without one.
Items every escape route needs
StepTwo items are always part of every escape: the Book and the Spider Key. The Book frees Slendrina's Mom from behind the bookshelf, and she then drops the Spider Key. That key opens a trapdoor into a dangerous area you must pass through regardless of your chosen exit. If you are heading out through the front door specifically, you also need the Master Key, Padlock Key, Padlock Code, and Battery to clear its four locks.
- Find the Book place it on the stand to release Slendrina's Mom from behind the bookshelf
- Collect the Spider Key Slendrina's Mom drops it after she is freed
- Gather the front-door items Master Key, Padlock Key, Padlock Code, and Battery are all needed to open the front door
- Use the Cutting Pliers cut the wire on the front door's electric lock and its matching wire in the basement
How item locations work
SummaryItems either spawn in the same spot every single game or shift between five preset arrangements. The game starts on Preset 1 and advances to the next preset each time a game ends, looping back to Preset 1 after Preset 5. Understanding which category an item falls into saves a lot of searching.
- Fixed items Grey Vase always on the round table in the starting bedroom
- Fixed items Screwdriver always on the high shelf in the Foyer
- Fixed items Crossbow and Tranquilizer Darts always inside the weapon safe
- Fixed items Teddy always behind the fake wall in the hidden closet
- Rotating items Master Key, Hammer, and most keys shift location with each preset
- Preset order runs 1 through 5 then repeats, even if you close and reopen the game
Building the Shotgun
StepThe Shotgun is built from three separate parts: the Barrel, Trigger, and Buttstock. Each one spawns at a location that changes with the preset. Once all three are on the garage workbench, they automatically combine into the Shotgun. Ammo spawns in fixed locations after the gun is assembled.
- Find the Barrel check the Garage rack, Dining Room showcase, Bedroom 1, or Spider Cellar depending on your preset
- Find the Trigger check the Kitchen, Nursery, Bedroom 2, or Spider Cellar depending on your preset
- Find the Buttstock check the Hidden Closet, Shed, Basement, or Spider Cellar depending on your preset
- Assemble at the workbench walk up to the front of the Garage workbench holding each part and it places itself automatically; all three together produce the Shotgun
- Collect the ammo Shotgun shells spawn in fixed spots at the Living Room TV table, Bedroom 1 chest of drawers, and the Special Room table
Weapons and how to use them
TableYou have two ranged weapons available. Both can knock out Granny and hit buttons or objects in the environment, but they differ in power and how you get them.

| Shotgun | built from three parts at the garage workbench; stuns Granny for slightly longer than the Crossbow |
| Shotgun extra uses | can eliminate the Spider and Crow, and briefly stun the Large Spider; shooting the Gasoline Can causes area damage equal to that of the Shotgun |

| Freeze Trap | a placeable trap found in the Sewer Cell; freezes anything that steps on it |

Common questions
FAQWhat happens when I pick up the Teddy?
Granny immediately reacts and heads toward you. Always identify your nearest hiding spot — a wardrobe or a space under a bed — before you pick the Teddy up.
Why are items in different places than last time?
Most items follow a five-preset rotation that advances every time a run ends. If you were on Preset 2 last game, you are now on Preset 3, so those items will be in new locations.
How do I get the Spider Key?
Find the Book and place it on the stand near the bookshelf. This frees Slendrina's Mom, who then drops the Spider Key. Both the Book and the Spider Key are needed no matter which exit you use.
How much time do I have to escape?
You have five days to collect everything you need and open your escape route.
