About this game

With the surrender of humanity in the Seven Hour War, you must survive in the remains of Tokyo, now known as City 8 under the Combine's control. After an incident involving a rebel known as Alyx taking down the Combine Vault in City-17, the combine has began to strengthen it's grip on humanity within all Urban Centers.

Will you:
> Pledge to the Combine as a Loyalist?
> Serve as part of Civil Protection?
> Rebel against the Combine's oppression?

Where beginners should start

01 Choosing your side Your choice of faction decides who you fight alongside and which badges you can earn.
02 First steps after joining Pick a faction, stay in a public server, and keep playing for ten minutes to get your first badge.
03 Public servers and EXP saving EXP does not save in private servers, so always join a public server when you want your progress to count.
04 Combat badges and how to earn them Each combat badge is tied to a specific playstyle, so match your class and weapon choice to the badge you are chasing.
