Public servers and EXP saving

Warn
In short EXP does not save in private servers, so always join a public server when you want your progress to count.

The game states clearly that EXP does not save in private servers. If you grind for experience in a private server, everything you earn disappears when you leave.

Worth watching out for
EXP does not save in private servers
Use public servers whenever you want badges or progress to carry over
04

Combat badges and how to earn them

Tips
In short Each combat badge is tied to a specific playstyle, so match your class and weapon choice to the badge you are chasing.

Several badges require you to play in a deliberate way during fights. Knowing what each one asks for before you load in saves a lot of time.

Tips worth knowing
  • Use your shield to absorb heavy enemy fire and keep teammates alive to unlock Expert Defender
  • Equip the PMG and use it to cut down enemies so your allies can push forward, earning The Suppressor
  • Play as the Cremator or Rebel Pyro class to qualify for the Pyromaniac badge
  • Destroy three enemy turrets to earn Turret Hunter
