The two roles and what they do
TableWhen you join with a friend, one of you becomes the Builder and the other becomes the Destroyer. These roles are set at the start of a session and stay fixed until the next game, so you each need to understand your job from the beginning. The whole game is built around these two roles working at the same time.
| Builder | places blocks to create a path the Destroyer can climb and cross |
| Destroyer | jumps along that path and breaks obstacles that are blocking the way forward |
| Role swap | not possible mid-game, but you can switch at the start of the next session |
Playing as the Builder
TipsWatch where the Destroyer is and place blocks where they are about to need them. Adjust height so blocks are reachable with a jump, and pay attention to where you place so the Destroyer can break through if needed.
- Place blocks in a staircase pattern so each step is reachable with a single jump.
- Watch the Destroyer's position before you place — build in front of them, not behind.
- Avoid putting blocks in spots the Destroyer cannot break through if they become obstacles.
- Respond quickly when your partner signals they need a bridge or a step somewhere new.
Playing as the Destroyer
TipsYour job is to climb the path the Builder makes and destroy anything blocking forward progress. Trust your partner's placements and take each block one at a time.
- Aim for the centre of a block when you jump so you land cleanly.
- Break any obstacle you spot as soon as you reach it — clearing early keeps the path open.
- Signal to the Builder when you need another block.
- If a jump keeps failing, try approaching from a slightly different angle or position.
Staying in sync as a team
CheckBecause neither role works alone, small communication gaps quickly turn into long stalls. Before you decide a stage is impossible, run through these checks with your partner.
- Both players are aiming at the same goal point confirm you are looking at the same destination.
- Each player is sticking to their own role and not accidentally interfering with the other.
- The Destroyer is telling the Builder when a block is missing rather than attempting impossible jumps.
- If you are stuck on the same spot repeatedly, step back to a lower position and look at the whole stage layout again.

Common questions
FAQCan I play this game alone?
No — the game requires exactly two players. You need to bring a friend before you start.
Can we swap roles in the middle of a session?
Roles are locked in for the whole session once the game begins. To switch, finish the current game and choose different roles when you start a new one.
What should we do if we are completely stuck on a stage?
Check that both of you are targeting the same goal and sticking to your roles. If things still are not moving, go back down to a lower point and look at the stage layout fresh.
