Lava Hook Hole [NEW MODE]
Starting out with the tutorial
StepWhen you first load into the game, a tutorial is waiting for you. Work through it completely — you earn the Basic Training badge for doing so, and you leave knowing exactly how the hook and slap work before any opponent is trying to knock you off.
- Complete the tutorial you earn the Basic Training badge and learn the core controls in a safe setting.
- Enter your first round winning it earns the Winner badge.
- Open a crate as soon as you can the First Unboxing badge unlocks the moment you open one.
Hook and slap in practice
TipsYour hook pulls an opponent into range; your slap ability then sends them into the lava.
- Wait until a target is close enough before throwing the hook — a shorter gap means a higher chance of connecting.
- Use the slap immediately after a successful hook pull, while the opponent is still recovering.
- Keep away from the edge of the platform while you line up a hook.
- Staying toward the center of the platform lowers the chance of accidentally falling into the lava yourself.
Earning cash and opening crates
CheckCash comes from winning rounds, and you spend it on unlocking new hooks and more powerful abilities. Crates are how you get items, and there is a chance a crate hands you a legendary item — which also unlocks the Legendary Loot badge on the spot.
- Win rounds to earn cash.
- Open your first crate to claim the First Unboxing badge if you have not already.
- Keep opening crates to chase the Legendary Loot badge it triggers automatically when a legendary item drops.
- Spend cash on new hooks and abilities to give yourself more options in combat.
Going for the Untouchable badge
TipsUntouchable unlocks when you win a round without dropping any lives at all.
- Stand near the center of the platform rather than the edges to give yourself more room to dodge.
- Unlock better hooks and abilities first so your attacks are more reliable when you do commit.
