About
OverviewToons Universe is a horror survival game on Roblox set inside the abandoned facilities of INNOVA, a biotech corporation. You pick a character called a Toon, fight off enemies called Infecteds, and try to clear as many floors as possible. This guide covers everything from your first loadout to unlocking Curly, the game's only Infected-stunning Agent.

Your first 15 seconds — the loadout screen
Step
In short
Use every second of the pre-game window to set up your Toon and Trinket before you spawn.
When a run starts, you have 15 seconds before you appear in the Elevator. That window is your only chance to pick your Toon and your Trinket, so do not sit idle. Multiple players can pick the same Toon with no penalty, so do not worry about clashing with teammates. If this is your first time playing, start a private server — it costs nothing and lets you learn the controls without pressure.
- Choose your Toon pick anyone you like; duplicates are allowed
- Set your Trinket equip it before the timer expires
- Try a private server first it is free and much calmer for learning

How a floor works

Every floor follows the same pattern: fill the Machines with Ichor, survive Panic Mode, and reach the Elevator in time.
Each floor is randomly generated with a set of Machines and Infecteds. The number of both scales up as you clear more floors and as players are eliminated. At the start of a run there are four Machines and two Infecteds, and the count climbs from there. Main Infecteds do not show up until Floor 5, so the earliest floors are your safest window to get comfortable with Machine work.
- Stand next to a Machine and hold E (or the mobile button) to pour Ichor into it
- Hit the Skill Check prompt at exactly the right moment landing the light-blue zone speeds up extraction; missing it pauses progress and alerts nearby Infecteds
- When the last Machine fills, Panic Mode starts and Infecteds speed up sharply sprint to the Elevator immediately
- Reach the Elevator within 30 seconds anyone who misses it is eliminated on the spot regardless of remaining Hearts
- If the whole team boards early, the Elevator leaves right away, so do not linger

Hearts and stamina
Summary
In short
Track both resources at all times — Hearts cannot recover without an item, and running out of stamina leaves you slow when you need speed most.
Every Toon has a Heart count and a Stamina bar. Regular Toons start with 3 Hearts; Main Toons start with 2. Stamina sits somewhere between 100 and 200 depending on your Toon's stats. Holding Shift (or the sprint toggle on mobile) burns stamina, which refills on its own when you stop running. Hearts do not refill on their own — you need a healing item found on the floor.
- Hearts lost one at a time when an Infected or certain abilities hit you; only healing items restore them
- Stamina drains while sprinting, refills automatically when you walk or stand still
- Death losing all Hearts gives you the choice to spectate or return to the Lobby
- Malachor on death the game shows you a summary of currency earned from floors cleared, Infecteds faced, and items collected

Between-floor events

In short
Odd and even floors trigger different rewards, so plan your spending and your vote with the next floor in mind.
After every floor clears, one of two events kicks off. Knowing which one is coming lets you save Sunflower Seeds at the right time and coordinate a card vote with your team.

Earning Malachor

Playing actively in every run is the most reliable way to build up Malachor without spending Robux.
Malachor is the main currency and the thing standing between you and new Toons. You earn it through in-run actions, so a more engaged playstyle directly means more currency. Malachor can also be purchased with Robux if you want to speed things up.
Tips worth knowing
- Complete a Machine to earn Malachor mid-run
- Trigger your active ability with F — each use adds to your total
- Grab Research Capsules scattered around each floor for a direct Malachor gain
- Survive more floors and encounter more Infecteds — both factor into the end-of-run payout
- Malachor earned on a run where you die still counts — the summary shows it before you exit

Unlocking and playing Curly
Step
In short
Curly rewards an aggressive, ability-focused playstyle and is the only Agent in the game who can stun an Infected.
Curly the Boar was the first Agent added after the game's official launch. He is currently the only character who can stun an Infected, stopping them in place for 4 seconds with his ability Boar Barge. Unlocking him takes time because he requires both Malachor and four separate milestone tasks. Once you have him, using Boar Barge constantly is both his best combat tool and the fastest way to tick off his level requirements.
- Reach the unlock requirements 3,080 Malachor, use abilities 120 times, extract the Main Machine 20 times, encounter 80 Infecteds, and survive 80 floors
- Use Boar Barge in groups stunning one Infected while the invincibility window absorbs hits from others lets you neutralise a cluster at once
- Use it as an escape solo Boar Barge builds speed over 4 seconds, though steering gets harder the faster you go
- Reset the cooldown faster carry the Fish Emblem or run with a Koi teammate to get Boar Barge back sooner

Glossary- Malachor
- The main in-game currency, earned through playing and used to unlock Toons and other content.
- Ichor
- The resource you pour into Machines to fill them; filling all Machines on a floor ends it.
- Skill Check
- A timed prompt that appears during Machine extraction — hitting the light-blue zone speeds things up, while missing it alerts Infecteds to your location.
- Panic Mode
- The phase that begins once all Machines are filled; Infecteds move faster and players have 30 seconds to board the Elevator.
- Sunflower Seeds
- A consumable currency used to buy items at Sunny's Shop and to fuel certain Toon abilities.
- Research Capsule
- A collectible found on floors that raises an Infected's Research level by 1% but also gives the player Malachor.
- Agent
- The game's term for a playable character, each with five stats and at least one ability.
- Card Vote
- The event on odd-numbered floors where players choose one of three cards to apply an effect to the next floor.
- Trinket
- An equippable item you select during the pre-game loadout window to complement your Toon.
- Boar Barge
- Curly's active ability, which stuns an Infected for 4 seconds and briefly makes Curly invincible.
Common questions
FAQDo I have to pay for a private server?
No, private servers in Toons Universe are free.
What happens if I fail a Skill Check?
The Ichor extraction pauses temporarily and nearby Infecteds learn your position.
Can I still get Malachor if I die before the floor ends?
Yes. When you die the game shows a summary of all the Malachor you earned during that run, based on floors cleared, Infecteds encountered, and items collected.
How do I unlock Curly?
You need 3,080 Malachor and four milestone completions: use abilities 120 times, extract the Main Machine 20 times, encounter 80 Infecteds, and survive 80 floors.
Is it okay if two players pick the same Toon?
Completely fine — the game puts no restriction on duplicate Toon selections in the same lobby.
