First things to do when you spawn

Step
In short Your first priority is finding where your food and water meters are and scouting every floor before either gauge drops dangerously low.

When the game starts you are inside the elevator. Two gauges — one for water, one for food — appear on your screen, and if either one empties completely you get a game over. You have a little breathing room early on because the gauges drain slowly at first, so use that time to explore rather than panic.

  1. Find your gauges check the screen for the water and food displays so you always know where to look at a glance.
  2. Press the elevator buttons visit every floor you can reach and take a quick look around each one.
  3. Pick up coins from the floor coins are scattered around the floors and you will need them to buy items from the shop.
  4. Note where food and water pickups are remembering which floor has what saves you a scramble later.
  5. Check the shop see what recovery items are available and how many coins each one costs before you commit to buying anything.

Keeping food and water under control

Check
In short Restocking before a gauge turns red is far easier than trying to recover from a crisis mid-game.

The gauges drain faster as the hours tick by, so a habit that works in the first few hours will not be enough later.

  • Eat or drink before the gauge turns yellow waiting until red leaves almost no margin for error.
  • Never spend every coin at once keep enough in reserve so you can buy something if a gauge drops unexpectedly.

Solving floor puzzles for coin rewards

Tips
In short Puzzle rewards are a source of coins and tools, so work through as many as you can.

Each floor has its own puzzles — things like pressing switches or combining items. Clearing them pays out coins and tools.

Tips worth knowing
  • Search every corner of a floor before deciding a puzzle is unsolvable — hidden buttons and items are tucked into easy-to-miss spots.
  • Try using the items you are already carrying when you do not know the answer — experimenting costs nothing.
  • Move on to another floor if you are stuck rather than staying frustrated in one place.
05

Dealing with the Time Eater

Warn
In short Getting caught by the Time Eater ends your run immediately, so staying out of its way matters as much as managing your resources.

The Time Eater hunts you throughout the full 24 hours. Being caught means a game over with no second chance in that run — you have to start over from scratch. The game keeps its horror elements mild, so do not let fear of the Time Eater stop you from exploring; just stay alert.

Worth watching out for
Dark corners and blind spots are harder for the Time Eater to check avoid standing in open, well-lit areas when it is near.
Keep moving between floors instead of staying in one place.
If you keep getting caught in the same spot, change your hiding place and your route between floors.
06

What to do when you are stuck

Check
In short Almost every sticking point comes down to one of three problems — low gauges, not enough coins, or an unsolved puzzle — and each one has a clear fix.

If survival starts to feel impossible, run through this list to find where things went wrong.

  • Gauges are in the red eat or drink immediately, then check whether you have enough coins for a quick shop purchase.
  • Stuck on a puzzle skip it for now, earn coins on other floors, and return when you have more resources.
  • Time Eater keeps catching you switch hiding spots and try a different path when moving between floors.
