How the game is laid out
SummaryThe main campaign runs ten levels and takes around thirty minutes to finish. Three secret levels are hidden inside those main stages. Beyond the main game sit three event worlds — Halloween, Vapor, and Challenge Mode — each with their own levels and a boss fight. Clearing the whole thing, including event content, takes roughly an hour and a half.
- Main campaign ten sequential levels plus three hidden secret levels
- Halloween World four levels and a boss, unlocked after clearing Level 3
- Vapor World three levels and a boss, unlocked after defeating the final boss of Level 10
- Challenge Mode three levels including a boss fight
- Route-skip option available by spending Robux or watching an ad, added in April 2026
- All event worlds accessible from the lobby as of late 2024, once you meet their requirements
Getting through the main campaign
StepThe main levels are not locked by default, but the boss fights at Level 4 and Level 9 require you to have cleared the level before them first. Each stage mixes parkour with puzzle-like sections, so the game itself warns you to think carefully rather than rush.
- Clear Levels 1–3 this unlocks the Halloween World orange portal back in the hub
- Reach the boss teleporter in Level 4 you must have cleared Level 3 first
- Survive the sky boss in Level 5 this is the first airborne boss encounter
- Work through Levels 6–9 Level 9 has another boss gate requiring Level 8 cleared
- Defeat Felipeye in Level 10 finishing this unlocks the Vapor World and concludes the main story
Enemy types you will face in Level 1
TableLevel 1 introduces every core enemy type you will see throughout the game. Each one needs a different response.
| Enemy | How it threatens you | How to deal with it |
|---|---|---|
| Wooden Eye | Chases you but moves slower than your character | Run behind it and follow the path to the next checkpoint |
| Cartoon Eye | Faster than the Wooden Eye but struggles on slopes | Run behind it, or trap it against the triangular wedge parts where it cannot reach you |
| Wave of Eyes | A wall of flying eyes that kills in one hit | Jump over them as they pass, or wait for a gap in the formation |
| Eye Guardian | One-hit kill; patrols a foggy hall and can see a wide range | Hide in the trenches when it approaches — its red transparent area shows exactly where it can spot you |
| Water Eye | Found in the Vapor World paths; appears in large numbers near water | Do not cross too fast; let the water eyes move past before you land on the next platform |
Finding the three secret levels
TipsNone of the secret levels are signposted, so you have to look carefully as you play through the main campaign.
- Secret Level 1 is hidden inside a small entryway somewhere in a normal level
- Secret Level 2 is reached by falling into a specific hole in a normal level
- Secret Level 3 requires finding a secret entrance next to a small house in a normal level
Unlocking and exploring event worlds
CheckThe Halloween World, Vapor World, and Challenge Mode each sit behind a specific main-game milestone. Once unlocked, all of them are accessible directly from the lobby.
- Clear Level 3 before looking for the Halloween World the orange portal only appears in the hub after that
- Defeat Felipeye (Level 10 final boss) before trying to enter Vapor World
- For Halloween Level III, defeat the Halloween boss first it only opens after Skullaye is beaten
- For Challenge Mode Level 1, join the Roblox community group or defeat Felipeye to get access
- Work through Challenge Mode levels in order each one locks until the previous is cleared
- For the Vapor World path inside Level 1, turn around at Path 1 to find the portal it only opens after Felipeye is defeated
When you are stuck and cannot advance
WarnThe game blends parkour with puzzle-style obstacles, and some of those puzzles are not obvious. Before assuming a section is broken, run through these checks.

Common questions
FAQCan I finish the whole game without spending Robux?
Yes. Every level across the main campaign, Halloween World, Vapor World, and Challenge Mode can be completed without paying anything. A paid option to skip certain paths inside stages was added in April 2026, but it is completely optional.
How do I get into the Halloween World?
Clear Level 3 of the main campaign first. After that, go back to the hub and look for the orange Halloween portal. Halloween Level III only unlocks after you defeat the boss Skullaye.
Why can't I get into Vapor World even though I finished most of the game?
Vapor World requires you to defeat Felipeye, the final boss of Level 10. Once you beat him, the Vapor World portal opens in the lobby.
What is different about Escape Running Head Eyes 2?
The sequel gives your character a double jump, locks levels so you must clear them in order, and removes the need to buy weapons before boss fights. It has eleven levels in its main campaign and is designed to be easier than the first game.
