About

Overview

Slap Battles Tower Defense mixes the Slap Battles universe with classic tower defense gameplay. You slap enemies to earn currency, spend it on towers, and hold off waves until you beat the boss. This guide covers how to get started, how to unlock new towers, and what to aim for once you have your footing.

Core loop on your first run

Step
In short Every match comes down to three repeating actions: slap, place, upgrade.

A room holds up to thirty players, so you are rarely going in alone. Slaps are the in-game currency you earn by hitting enemies directly, and every tower you place or upgrade costs them. Waves keep coming until you reach the final boss, and clearing the map earns you a tower as a reward.

  1. Slap enemies hit enemies directly to collect slaps, your spending currency for the whole match.
  2. Place towers spend slaps to set down towers along the path before the next wave arrives.
  3. Upgrade towers pour more slaps into placed towers to raise their damage before the boss wave.
  4. Beat the boss the final wave ends with a boss; take it down to clear the map and claim your reward tower.

Map clear rewards

Table
In short Each map you beat hands you a specific tower, so working through the maps in order is the fastest way to grow your collection.

The maps below each have a fixed reward. Towers marked as 'Bunker shop' are not given to you directly — you must visit the Bunker shop after meeting the win requirement to collect them.

Unlocking the Bunker shop

Check
In short You need ten wins before the Bunker shop opens, so chase victories before worrying about Stun, Nightmare, or Psycho.

The Bunker shop is locked when you first start playing. Reaching ten total wins is what opens it. Once it is open, clearing Future, Void, and Limbo puts their reward towers inside the shop for you to collect.

  • Reach 10 wins this is the only condition that unlocks the Bunker shop.
  • Beat Future places Stun in the Bunker shop.
  • Beat Void places Nightmare in the Bunker shop.
  • Beat Limbo places Psycho in the Bunker shop.
  • Visit the Bunker shop go there after each unlock to actually receive the tower.
04

Stars and buying new towers

Tips
In short Stars are your route to the fifty-plus towers not tied to map rewards.

Beating waves and slapping enemies earns you stars, which you spend in the shop to buy additional towers. With over fifty towers available, many of which have special powers, there is a large collection to work toward.

Tips worth knowing
  • There are over fifty towers in total.
  • Many towers have special powers.
05

The daily Obby tower

Step
In short Spread your Obby attempts across five different days — same-day completions do not count toward the badge.

The daily obby is a separate obstacle course you can attempt each day. Finishing it five times on five different days earns you the Obby tower along with the 'pro obby' badge.

  1. Complete the daily obby finish the course to have that day count toward your five.
  2. Come back on a different day only one completion per calendar day counts, so return tomorrow.
  3. Repeat until five separate days once you hit five distinct days of completion, the Obby tower and badge are yours.
06

Challenge badges worth chasing

Summary
In short These badges have strict conditions, but two of them reward you with extra towers.

Once you are comfortable with the basics, these optional challenges add replay value.

  • KABOOM! reach the final wave using only Bomb and Retro towers to earn the Detonator tower.
  • Ultimate Code Breaker find five hidden codes across the maps to solve the underlying mystery.
  • ... (hidden badge) discover something out of place in one of the islands and escape to claim it.
07

Mistakes to avoid

Warn
In short Dying on the last wave and self-destructing with your own Potato are both recorded as badges of shame.

A few failure states leave a permanent mark on your profile in the form of embarrassing badges. Knowing what triggers them lets you avoid them on purpose.

Worth watching out for
Do not die on the final wave the game awards you the 'Skill Issue' badge and it stays on your account.
Be careful with the Potato if your own Potato kills you, you receive the 'Nice Job!' badge, which is harder to explain than Skill Issue.
Do not rush for Bunker shop towers before ten wins the shop stays locked no matter how many maps you clear until that win count is met.

Common questions

FAQ

How do I get more towers?

There are two routes. Clear maps to receive their fixed reward towers, or collect stars and spend them in the shop. Some towers, like Stun and Nightmare, sit in the Bunker shop and require you to both clear their map and have ten wins before you can pick them up.

Why can't I access the Bunker shop yet?

The Bunker shop only opens after you have earned ten total wins. Map clears alone do not unlock it. Keep playing matches until you hit that milestone.

Does it matter which day I complete the daily obby?

Yes — only one completion per day counts toward the five you need for the Obby tower. You have to return on separate days, so finishing it multiple times in one session still only counts as one.

What happens if I lose on the last wave?

The game gives you the 'Skill Issue' badge, which stays permanently on your profile. It is a humorous punishment badge, not a reward, so play carefully on the final wave.
