How a match works

Summary
In short The slap decides the difficulty, and the stage decides the winner.

Every match is one player against another. You slap your opponent across the meter, and the number where they land is the wall-hop stage they must complete. If they clear it, roles swap and it becomes your turn to take a slap and run a stage. This continues until one player loses all their hearts.

  • Slapping where your opponent lands on the meter sets their stage number
  • Stage difficulty higher numbers are harder to clear
  • Hearts a player loses one each time they fail to finish their stage
  • Losing condition the first player to reach zero hearts loses
  • Stage count there are 11 wall-hop stages in total, plus a co-op Troll Stage

Getting started

Step
In short Sorting your settings and spending time in the practice lobby before your first real match makes everything easier.

Before you queue for a match, two things will save you a lot of frustration. First, fix your FPS setting. Wall hopping is noticeably harder at lower frame rates, and the game itself calls out 60 FPS as the target. Second, the lobby has practice time trials built in — use them until the wall-hop motion feels natural.

  1. Set FPS to 60 open your settings and change this before anything else
  2. Enter the lobby practice time trials repeat the wall-hop motion until it clicks
03

Wall-hop technique

Step
In short The camera flick in step three is what actually launches you — get that right and the rest follows.

Wall hopping is the core skill in this game, and every stage depends on it. The four steps below come directly from the game's own instructions. Missing any one of them, especially the camera direction in step three, usually means a failed hop.

  1. Approach the wall walk toward it until your feet reach the line at the bottom
  2. Turn 90 degrees rotate your character to the left or the right
  3. Flick the camera move the camera in the same direction you just turned your character
  4. Keep walking into the wall your character will pop up and through if the steps were correct
04

What to check when you keep failing

Check
In short Almost every repeated failure comes down to FPS, rotation angle, or camera direction — check those three first.

Failing the same stage repeatedly is usually a technique problem rather than a stage problem. Run through this list before blaming the level design. If everything checks out and you still cannot clear it, go back to the lobby practice time trials and reset your muscle memory.

  • FPS is set to 60 if it drifted back down, wall hops will feel inconsistent again
  • Character rotation is a full 90 degrees a shallow turn will not trigger the hop correctly
  • Camera flick matches the direction you turned this is the step most players get wrong under pressure
  • You have tried the move in the lobby practice area recently returning to practice resets bad habits

Free play versus game passes

Table
In short You can reach every stage and play every match without spending anything, but two passes do make harder stages more forgiving.

All 11 stages, the Troll Stage, the practice time trials, and full PvP matches are available without buying anything. The three game passes add convenience rather than locking content away.

Trailcosmetic only, no effect on stage performance
Double Jumpincreases movement freedom, which helps on difficult stages
Extra Lifeadds one heart, giving you one extra chance before a match loss

Glossary

Glossary
Wall hop
The core movement technique where you approach a wall, turn 90 degrees, flick the camera the same way, and walk through to pop up the wall.
Meter
The device you slap your opponent across; wherever they land shows the number of the stage they must complete.
Heart
Your health in a match — you lose one each time you fail to clear your assigned stage, and reaching zero means you lose.
FPS
Frames per second, the speed at which your screen updates; setting this to 60 makes wall hopping significantly easier.
Troll Stage
A co-op stage separate from the 11 main wall-hop stages.
Extra Life
A game pass that gives your character one additional heart at the start of a match.

Common questions

FAQ

Why does my wall hop keep failing even when I follow the steps?

The most common cause is FPS below 60 — check that setting first. If FPS is correct, make sure your camera flick goes in exactly the same direction as your 90-degree turn, since even a small mismatch will stop the hop from triggering. Head back to the lobby practice time trials and repeat the motion slowly until it feels automatic.

Can I play on mobile?

Yes, the game supports mobile.

Is the Double Jump pass worth buying?

It raises your movement options on harder stages, which can reduce how often you lose hearts to difficult sections.
