How the game works

Summary
In short Your only goal is to survive — collect scrap, buy gear, and avoid monsters.

Every server holds up to 20 players inside the abandoned lab. You explore the halls, pick up scrap, and exchange it at the shop for gear that improves your chances of staying alive. Monsters are active the whole time.

  • Players per server up to 20
  • Main resource scrap, found throughout the lab
  • What scrap buys gear from the shop
  • Core loop explore, collect, trade, survive

Monster types and how to handle them

Tips
In short Each monster hunts differently, so your response needs to match the threat.

Three distinct hunting styles appear in the lab. One type tracks sound, one only moves when you are looking away, and one holds position near the elevators.

Tips worth knowing
  • Against monsters that hear footsteps, walk instead of running.
  • Against monsters that only move when you look away, keep your eyes on them.
  • Monsters that guard the elevators — find a path around them rather than pushing through.

04

Collecting scrap without getting caught

Step
In short Steady, careful collection beats rushing.

Scrap is scattered across the lab floor and in corners.

  1. Walk rather than run when moving to scrap.
  2. Collect what is close, then leave; do not try to clear an entire area in one pass.
  3. Trade what you have for gear at the shop before heading back out.
05

Playing with a team

Tips
In short Coordinating with friends raises survival odds, but more players also create more noise.

The 20-player cap means you will almost always be sharing the lab with others.

Tips worth knowing
  • Share monster positions with your team the moment you spot one.
  • Split up for scrap collection so you cover more ground.
  • If a teammate is being pursued, move in a different direction to split the monster's attention.
06

Habits that keep you alive

Warn
In short Most deaths come from impatience — slowing down is almost always the right choice.

The lab punishes players who rush. Elevators feel urgent, but reaching them carelessly is dangerous.

Worth watching out for
Running alerts sound-sensitive monsters.
Trying to collect all scrap in one long run leaves you exposed far longer than multiple shorter trips would.
Walking directly toward an elevator without checking for its guardian first is one of the most common ways to get caught.

Common questions

FAQ

Can I play alone?

Yes, solo play is possible. Teaming up with friends allows you to coordinate and survive together.

What happens when a monster catches me?

Getting caught ends your run.

How do I deal with the monster near the elevator?

One monster specifically guards the elevators rather than roaming freely. Look for an alternate path around it.

Is it better to collect all scrap at once or in small trips?

Collect what is nearby, return to the shop, then head out again.
