Getting started: challenge selection and points
StepWhen you enter Obby Royale you are shown a challenge selection screen before joining a server. Picking a difficulty that suits your current ability puts you against similarly skilled players. If you leave a round before it ends, any points you earned or lost are applied the next time you rejoin — you cannot dodge a bad result by quitting early.
- Challenge screen choose a difficulty that matches your skill level.
- Points up you earn points for good performance.
- Points down losing to a lower-ranked player costs you points.
- Early exit leaving mid-round does not protect your points; the result is stored and applied on your next session.
- Leaderboards the lobby displays a board showing the top players by win count.
The six game modes
TableObby Royale rotates through six modes. Badge requirements are tied to specific modes, so if you are chasing a particular badge it is worth waiting for the right one to come up.
| Escalator | survive every stage in a single round, progressing through Nightmare and Demon difficulty sections. |
| Death Penalty | complete the course without dying once; doing so in Standard mode awards a 100-point badge. |
| Last Man Standing | outlast everyone else all the way through Round 16 to win. |
| Domination | win eight rounds in a row to claim a 50-point badge. |
| Time Rush | post the fastest time in every round throughout the game; a perfect sweep earns a 50-point badge. |
| Risk | choose your difficulty each round; winning exclusively on the hardest setting earns a special badge. |

Map skills you actually need
TipsDifferent maps demand different skills, but a few techniques appear again and again.
- Ladder jumps, wall hugs, and the skill to pass through narrow spaces are needed on the wooden structure in Short, Simple, Easy.
- In Clockwork Catastrophe, most black parts and cogwheels have death scripts, so treat any dark surface as a hazard.
- In Construction Yard there is a shortcut on the left side of the map that requires a wall hop to reach the upper walls.
- In Candy Land you can skip a wall hug section by jumping directly across the two wall-hug points.

Common questions
FAQWhat happens to my points if I leave a round early?
The points you earned or lost in that round are saved. They are applied to your total the next time you rejoin a game, so leaving early never protects you from a loss.
Do all badges give me bonus points?
Only some do. Death Defier adds 200 points, Death-Free Zone adds 100, and several mode-specific badges such as Total Domination and Victory Rush each add 50. Badges without a point value listed in their description do not add points directly.
How do I pick the right server when I start?
The challenge selection screen appears as soon as you load in. Choose the difficulty that reflects your current skill level.
Are daily and weekly missions worth doing?
The Snowman cosmetic is only available through completing daily and weekly missions, not by winning rounds.
