First steps in the lobby and Shattered Forest

Step
In short Getting comfortable with the controls before your first dungeon saves a lot of early frustration.

The lobby has no enemies, so use it to try out your basic attack, your equipped skill, and your roll before anything else. Controls sit in different spots depending on whether you are on PC, a phone, or a tablet, so a quick test run there is worth it. Once you feel ready, head into Shattered Forest on Normal — that is the entry-level dungeon open from level 1. After you clear it, look at every piece of gear you picked up and swap in anything clearly stronger than what you are wearing.

  1. Try the controls use your basic attack, skill, and roll at least once each in the lobby
  2. Pick a type check whether your weapon and skill are physical or magic before you enter
  3. Enter the dungeon start with Shattered Forest on Normal difficulty
  4. Check your drops after clearing, compare new weapons, armor, and skills to what you have equipped
  5. Farm before pushing clear the same dungeon a few more times to build a solid set before moving on

Level targets for the early dungeons

Table
In short Moving to the next dungeon at roughly the right level keeps progress steady without grinding too hard.

There are four dungeons that form the natural early route through the game. Hitting the suggested level does not guarantee a clear on the first try, so if the boss feels too tanky or the timer keeps running out, go back one dungeon and fill out your gear. Daily quests can reward keys and other useful items, so check them before you start a session.

Matching your weapon type to your skills

Tips
In short Keeping your weapon and skills on the same type — physical or magic — is the single biggest damage boost available to you.

Every weapon and skill falls into one of two types: physical or magic. When they match, your damage output is much higher. A mismatched setup can cause you to run out of time against a boss even if your gear has high rarity. Pick one path and stick to it as new gear comes in.

Tips worth knowing
  • Swords, spears, and hammers pair with physical skills — that is the physical path
  • Staves and scepters pair with magic skills — that is the magic path
  • If you are unsure which to pick, go with whichever type you already have more skills for
  • When comparing new gear, check the physical or magic label alongside the rarity color
  • Aim to have two or three skills of the same type as your weapon at all times
05

Diagnosing a run you cannot finish

Check
In short Figuring out whether you are dying or running out of time tells you exactly which part of your build to fix.

When a dungeon stops you cold, the first thing to do is decide which of two problems you have: you are getting killed, or you are running out of time. Each one points to a different fix. If solo play keeps falling apart, bringing a partner splits the boss's attention and makes the fight easier to survive.

  • Getting killed check that your armor is up to date and that you are using your roll to dodge big attacks
  • Running out of time confirm your weapon and skills share the same physical or magic type
  • Slow through the dungeon add a skill that hits multiple enemies at once to speed up the runs
  • Boss patterns watch for the tell before a heavy attack and roll before it lands
  • Stuck solo try the dungeon with a party so the boss targets are spread across players
06

Making the most of resources

Tips
In short Selling low-level gear for Magic Dust and focusing pet resources on a single strong pet keeps you from wasting materials on things you will replace soon.

Three resources come up constantly: Magic Dust, keys, and pet tokens. Knowing when to spend each one and when to hold it makes a noticeable difference over time. Early gear turns over quickly, so hold off on using Magic Dust to reroll until you have something you expect to keep for a while.

Tips worth knowing
  • Sell weapons and armor you have outgrown to turn them into Magic Dust
  • Save Magic Dust for gear you plan to use across several dungeons, not for something you will replace in an hour
  • Spend keys on skill chests that match the dungeon you are currently running
  • Put all your pet upgrade materials into one strong pet rather than splitting them
  • Before converting spare pets into pet tokens, check the merge screen to see which ones you still need

A short daily session, done efficiently

Step
In short Three quick actions at the start of each session mean you never miss a free reward or fall behind on upgrades.

On days when you only have a little time, order matters. Grab your daily quest rewards first because keys and pet chests from those quests cost you nothing and speed up the rest of your session. Then run the most advanced dungeon you can clear reliably a couple of times. Finish by tidying up your inventory so the next session starts clean.

  1. Check daily quests collect any keys, pet chests, or other rewards before doing anything else
  2. Run your best stable dungeon clear it two or three times without forcing a fight you keep losing
  3. Compare new drops swap in anything stronger than your current gear or skills
  4. Sell spare gear turn it into Magic Dust before you log off
  5. Convert unneeded pets change them into pet tokens after confirming they are not needed for a merge

Common questions

FAQ

What should I do the moment I start the game?

Go to the lobby first and test your basic attack, your skill, and your roll so you know where every button is. Then enter Shattered Forest on Normal — it is open from level 1. After you clear it, look through the gear you got and equip anything stronger than what you had going in.

Why can't I beat the boss even with high-rarity gear?

High rarity does not help if your weapon and skill types do not match. Check that both are physical or both are magic, because a mismatch can drop your damage enough to make the timer impossible to beat. Once the types line up, the rarity of the gear starts to matter much more.

Do I need to spend Robux to finish the game?

All 14 realms and every dungeon are reachable without spending anything — gear comes entirely from dungeon drops. Paid options can speed things up, but mastering your roll and keeping your weapon and skill types matched will move you forward faster than any purchase.

Should I spread my upgrade materials across several pets?

Put everything into your single strongest pet until it is well developed. Spare pets can be converted into pet tokens, but check the merge screen first to make sure you are not getting rid of one you still need.

How do I unlock the Insane difficulty badges?

Each main dungeon has an Insane difficulty that awards a badge when you clear it. There are ten such badges in total, plus a separate badge for finishing the Rumbling Plateau Raid.
