About

Overview

RogueRealms is a co-op roguelike for one to four players where you survive endless waves of enemies, growing stronger between each wave. You pick from over 70 classes, each with three purchasable mutations, and build your character through accessories, sacrifices, and gear bought in the shop. This guide covers how to get started, how stats and resources work, how to unlock more classes, and how to earn rewards through achievements.

Starting classes and your first run

Step
In short Picking the right starting class and learning the shop loop is the foundation of every run.

When you first join, Brawler is automatically selected. There are six classes available from the start: Brawler, Archer, Healer, Wizard, Tanker, and Peasant. Each favors different stats, so try a few to find what suits you. After surviving each wave, you visit the shop to buy accessories, sacrifices, and gear that make your character stronger.

  1. Choose a starting class Brawler favors Strength, Archer favors Range, Healer favors Hope, Wizard favors Wisdom, Tanker favors Defense, and Peasant is the deliberately weakest option.
  2. Visit the shop spend Tix on accessories and sacrifices to boost your stats before the next wave.
  3. Invite friends the game supports up to four players cooperatively.

How stats work

Summary
In short Each stat has a specific mechanic, so knowing the caps and penalties stops you from wasting purchases.

RogueRealms uses eight core stats. Strength, Range, Wisdom, and Hope each work the same way: every point adds that percentage to the corresponding damage type, so +25 Strength means 25% more Strength-based damage. The remaining stats have their own rules and caps worth knowing before you spend Tix.

  • Strength / Range / Wisdom / Hope each point is a 1% damage bonus to that damage type; negative values work as a penalty instead
  • Defense every point gives 0.5% damage reduction, capped at 80% without a class bonus; beyond 80%, each extra point reduces incoming damage by a flat 0.1 instead
  • Critical Chance each point gives a 1% crit chance; past 100 points the excess becomes a chance for a double critical; negative points create a chance of a critical failure that halves your damage
  • Dodge each point gives 1% dodge chance, capped at 40% without a class bonus; points above 40 convert into a chance to reflect damage back on dodge, with reflection guaranteed at 140
  • Speed base value is 20; negative Speed inverts your movement controls
03

Managing HP, Shield, and Mana

Check
In short All three resources have passive or drop-based recovery, so you are never completely stuck without them.

You start every run with 0 Shield and 30 Mana. Shield cannot exceed your current maximum HP, and Mana cannot exceed your current maximum Mana. Status effects can bypass your Shield and damage HP directly.

  • Mana recovers automatically over time, so you will always eventually be able to use magic weapons again.
  • Killing enemies gives a 2% chance to drop a Mana Star; picking one up restores 3 Mana, and accessories can raise that drop chance.
  • Shield does not regenerate on its own you need accessories, sacrifices, or gears to build and maintain it.
  • Killing enemies also gives a small chance to drop a Shield pickup worth 10 Shield, and accessories can raise that drop chance too.
  • If you are disconnected mid-run, the hub contains a rejoin feature that lets you return to the same game.

Three ways to unlock new classes

Table
In short Spending Roguebux is the fastest route early on, but boss kills unlock some of the most distinctive classes.

With over 70 classes in the game, unlocking them is a long-term goal. Classes fall into three unlock categories. Roguebux is the in-game currency earned partly through the achievement reward track, so playing naturally funds purchases over time.

Buy with Roguebuxclasses like Rogue (50), Dancer (100), Vampire (100), Thief (150), and many others up to Meteorologist (700)
Defeat a stage bossbeating Gloomy Graveyard unlocks Necromancer, Cyber City unlocks Bard, Winter Wonderland unlocks Snowman, Deserted Dune unlocks Alchemist, Nostalgic Neighbourhood unlocks SK8R, and Nightmare Netherworld unlocks Devil
Meet a gameplay conditionexamples include playing for a total of 5 hours (Alien), dealing 75,000 cumulative damage (Hemomancer), earning 10,000 total Roguebux (Banker), and hatching your first egg (Zoologist)

Common questions

FAQ

How do I get Roguebux without spending Robux?

Roguebux appears as a reward in the achievement medal track. Every five medals you collect unlocks the next reward, and some of those rewards are Roguebux.

What happens if I get disconnected during a run?

The hub has a rejoin feature that lets you return to the run you were in.

How do I unlock Copy Cat?

Copy Cat becomes available only after you have unlocked every other class in the game.

Does Defense have a cap?

Without a class that extends it, damage reduction from Defense is capped at 80%. After that point, each additional Defense point instead reduces incoming damage by a flat 0.1.
