Finding hidden items and secrets

Tips
In short Hidden items reward thorough exploration, and each level has its own full set to discover.

Each major area — the backrooms, Motion, the Pool Rooms, and Play Place — has a complete set of hidden items waiting to be found. The game itself tells you to search in hidden places. Earning the explorer badges for each area confirms you have found everything, so they double as a useful checklist.

Tips worth knowing
  • Check above your head — ceiling gaps and upper walls are easy to overlook when you are focused on the floor ahead.
  • Use the noclip mechanic intentionally — the game acknowledges noclipping as part of how objects and players end up in the backrooms, and it has a dedicated badge tied to doing it yourself.
  • Treat each level as its own hunt — hidden items are specific to their area, so clearing one zone does not count toward another.

Combat and entity kills

Check
In short Never engage an entity without a weapon ready.

Entities are the enemies standing between you and the next level. The game tracks your kills across several milestones — ten, one hundred, five hundred, and a thousand. Traps are also a valid kill method and have their own badge, so you are not limited to direct weapon attacks.

  • Do you have a crafted weapon? Fighting without one puts you at serious risk.
  • Have you considered placing a trap? Setting one up counts as a kill and has its own dedicated badge.

Progressing through levels

Tips
In short The game has over 30 levels, and named areas like Motion, the Pool Rooms, and Play Place each function as distinct destinations with their own hidden items and entity encounters.

Each named area has a badge for visiting it and a separate badge for finding all its hidden items.

Tips worth knowing
  • Named areas — Motion, Pool Rooms, and Play Place — each have a visit badge and an explorer badge for finding all hidden items.
  • The game includes a badge called The Hole, described as potentially leading to another level or a way out.

The group bonus and free codes

Tips
In short Joining the developer's group gives you a free banana gun, and the game has working redeem codes worth grabbing before you play.

The game's description offers a free banana gun to anyone who joins the developer's group. It is purely a bonus — the full game is completable without it. Separately, this site tracks five working redeem codes for the game as of September 28, 2026; check the codes section of this page to apply them.

Tips worth knowing
  • Join the developer's group through the game page to claim the banana gun at no cost.
  • Redeem any active codes before your session starts so you do not miss out on whatever they provide.

Items scattered around each level that you collect and use to craft weapons.
