Empire Clash is a real-time strategy game where four factions fight for control of a continent and you can rise from a common peasant all the way to monarch. This guide covers how to pick a faction and class, how the core activities fit together, how to become monarch, and how territory and currency work — everything you need to stop feeling lost and start winning.
In shortChoosing your faction and class right at the start sets the direction for everything else.
When you first load in, you choose one of four factions and then pick a starting class from fifteen options. Neither choice is permanent, so don't agonize — you can switch class later. If you're playing with friends, joining the same faction makes it much easier to cooperate.
Pick a factionif you have friends in the game, match their faction so you fight on the same side.
Choose a classgo with whatever playstyle sounds fun; you can change it mid-game.
Explore the open worldlocations like Stonetonas and Runespire are good places to learn where resources spawn and where faction bases sit.
In shortCycling through gathering, crafting, and combat is how both you and your faction grow stronger.
Every player in Empire Clash works inside a loop of three activities. A fourth path, running a shop, rewards dedicated traders with steady coin income.
Gathering collect resources from across the continent to feed the crafting system.
Crafting turn those resources into weapons for yourself and your teammates.
Combat take finished weapons into battle and fight for territory against rival factions.
Shop ownership run a shop and earn coins from sales; collecting 200 coins in a single session is its own milestone.

In shortThere are fifteen classes in Empire Clash, each with a different combat style and set of objectives.
Some classes, like Overseer and Redcliff, have dedicated win-based goals that reward players who stick with them across multiple games. Because classes can be changed at any time, experimenting costs you nothing.
Tips worth knowing
Military classes and peasant classes have opposing goals — military classes aim to finish off peasants, while peasants can earn recognition by taking down military players.
Overseer and Redcliff each reward players who win five games with those classes specifically.

Three routes to becoming monarch
Table
In shortEach path to the throne suits a different playstyle, and all three unlock their own achievement.
Becoming monarch is one of the biggest goals in Empire Clash. You do not have to follow the same route every game — try different ones to see which fits how you play.
Election
earn enough support from other players to win a vote and be chosen as monarch.
Revolution
seize the monarch position by force through a successful revolution.
Inheritance
receive the title through the inheritance system rather than a contest.
06
Territory control and combat positioning
Check
In shortSecuring neutral land early and pushing toward the enemy capital gives your faction the clearest path to victory.
The continent is divided into territories that factions can capture or lose. Neutral territories are the easiest to take first, but raiding enemy-held land weakens their faction directly. Capturing an enemy's starting capital is the sharpest move available. Positioning matters in firefights too — a clean shot from 1,000 studs or more can take an enemy down instantly.
Claim neutral territories to build your faction's foothold.
Push into enemy territory to cut off their land.
Target the enemy starting capitaltaking it unlocks a special achievement.
In ranged combat, a shot from at least 1,000 studs can be an instant kill.

Coins earned through gameplay; one million total is a major milestone.
Crowns used to buy cosmetics and capes; milestones sit at 10, 100, and 1,000 crowns total.
