SCROOMS Guide: The taming loop from start to finish
About
OverviewSCROOMS is a Roblox game where you tame mushroom-like creatures called Scrooms by playing an instrument. You attract them with music, keep them inside a catch zone, and add them to your Index as your collection grows. This guide covers the taming loop, rarity tiers, long-term goals, and the badges that mark your progress.

The taming loop from start to finish
StepWhen you first join, the whole loop is new — but it is also short. Run through it a few times on common Redcaps until each step feels automatic before you move on to rarer Scrooms.
- Equip your instrument open your inventory and select an instrument to hold.
- Start playing use the instrument to play, which pulls a Scroom toward you.
- Tune before it commits adjust your instrument's tune while the Scroom is still approaching; a higher Tune Speed shortens this window into your favour.
- Hold it in the catch zone keep the Scroom inside the zone as the progress bar fills; if it slips out, the bar drains back down.
- Complete the tame the Scroom is yours the moment the bar reaches full.
Rarity tiers and what they demand
TableFour rarity tiers appear in the game, each asking more of you than the last. The top two tiers also gate the majority of the skill-based badges, so you will need to be comfortable with them to progress.
| Redcaps | the most common Scroom. |
| Harmonic | a special type with its own badge, Harmonic Ear, for catching one. |
| Fabled | high rarity; the starting target for streak and perfect-catch badges. |
| Eversung | the rarest type; landing a perfect catch here unlocks the Pitch Perfect badge. |
Keeping streaks alive
TipsFirst Chair requires 100 catches in a row without a single escape. Unbroken and Untouchable push that further, demanding 10 and then 25 consecutive successful tames of Fabled or Eversung Scrooms respectively. Losing one Scroom outside the zone resets a streak, so treat every catch as the one that matters.
- Tune Speed is your best tool for keeping control — the faster you tune, the less time a Scroom spends drifting toward the edge.
- Metronome and Virtuoso require 25 and 100 perfect catches on Fabled or Eversung Scrooms respectively.
Long-term goals worth tracking in parallel
CheckA few require deliberate side effort, noted below.
- Catch count 100 catches unlocks Tuned In, 1,000 unlocks A Thousand Songs, and 10,000 unlocks Ten Thousand Songs.
- Level reach level 50 for Seasoned Tamer and level 100 for Living Legend.
- Index entries tame 25 distinct Scrooms to unlock Budding Collector.
- Chimes accumulate 350,000 at the same time for Deep Pockets.

Co-op and special unlocks
TipsMost of SCROOMS is playable solo, but two notable achievements point toward other people or hidden content.
- Unison is described as 'two voices, one note,' meaning it involves coordinating with at least one other player in the same session.
- Up to 15 players can share a room, so finding a partner for co-op goals is possible in a populated session.
- Altissimo notes that some Scrooms can sing higher than you have heard.
- The Songtreads unlock earns the Songwalker badge, and the Deepchord item earns Runestriker.
- Mantle Bearer requires completing the Mantle of the Songkeeper.
