Pibby Glitch: Survival — Your first moments in the game
About
OverviewPibby Glitch: Survival drops up to 12 players into a map overrun by a mysterious glitch. You either fight to stay alive as a survivor or spread the infection as one of the glitched. This guide covers both sides — how to get started, how to rack up kills, and how to play infected effectively.

Your first moments in the game
StepWhen you load in you automatically earn the 'You Joined!' badge, then the round begins. The very first thing to sort out is which side you are on — survivor or infected. Everything you do next depends on that.
- Check your role figure out whether you are a survivor or infected before you move anywhere.
- Find the gear wall search along the walls of the map for the spot where weapons and useful items are mounted.
- Set your goal survivors need to stay alive as long as possible; infected need to touch other players to spread the glitch.
Playing as a survivor
TipsSurvivors win by outlasting the infected. The gear wall mounted on the map's walls gives you the weapons and items you need to fight back. Every kill you land counts toward a kill badge, from your first kill all the way to 10,000.
- Hit the gear wall the moment the round starts so you are never caught without a weapon.
- By the time you reach 2,500 kills you should have experimented with nearly every weapon the gear wall offers, so try different ones early rather than sticking to the first thing you grab.
- Teaming up with friends as survivors lets you cover more ground and protect each other.

Playing as infected
TipsWhen you are infected your job is to touch other players and bring them over to your side. The more infected there are, the harder it becomes for survivors to hold out. Earning the 'First Infect' badge marks the start of this path.
- Chase survivors into tight spots where they have fewer ways to escape.
- When multiple infected are in play, move to surround survivors rather than chasing one from behind.
When things are not going well
CheckIf your kills are not climbing or you keep getting tagged out quickly, run through this list before changing anything else.
- Have you visited the gear wall this round? Fighting without a weapon is the most common avoidable mistake.
- Are you playing to your role's actual goal? Infected who play defensively and survivors who ignore escaping both underperform.

Common questions
FAQCan I play this game alone?
Yes, solo play is supported. You can also team up with friends if you prefer, since the game is built for both approaches.
How do kill badges work?
Every kill you earn as a survivor adds to your total, and badges are awarded automatically each time you hit a milestone. The ladder runs from your very first kill up to 10,000.
Is it better to be a survivor or infected?
The two roles have completely different goals, so neither is simply better. Survivors aim to outlast the round; infected aim to convert everyone.
What should I do if I cannot find the gear wall?
Walk along the walls of the map and look for mounted weapons and items. The gear wall is built into the map itself, so keep searching the edges rather than the open centre.
